    Mike is a class act and runs a great DZ up there! I only wish I could get up there more often. Facilities kick ass... I mean a HUGE air conditioned packing area, nice pool, showers, everything!     I have a fusion 210 that I will be looking to sell around the time you get home. I think its DOM is JUL 2008 ish and has approx 150 jumps on it. It is in great shape and ill cut you a deal.     As for those attending IERW at Rucker, Skydiving is no longer on the prohibited list from 145th or 1st AVN BDE. I just left there as cadre in 145th (flight school) and spent the better part of my tour there convincing the powers that be to change the list of prohibited activites. You can now jump, private pilot, scuba, carsurf etc.... The deal is if you get hurt and cant continue with training for over 6 months you will be considered for elim.     Yes it helps you understand what inputs will do what to the lift/ drag or TAF (total aerodynamic force) of your wing. I do think you may be getting a lil ahead of yourself here, but if you are laid up say.. from.... trying to eat the step of a cessna... Watch videos on aerodynamics read books ask question. It wont hurt. As for me, knowing this stuff is how I can afford to jump. I am an Army pilot and I have to cram and relearn this crap once a year when I get an evaluation on how smart... or stupid I am. BLUF.. it helps to know whats going on overhead,,, weather its a piece of fabric attached to 3 grand of skydiving gear, or a rotor blade attached to 34 million dollars of helicopter.     know this sounds rough, but maybe you should try golf. Jumped with a guy that had an AAD fire because his shoulder became dislocated in a sit fly and couldnt pull his main.... not sure why he didnt go to reserve.     Does this rig make my ass look big? Seriously though I recently went through about a 30 lb weight loss (210 down to about 178). The container fit wasnt my main issue as the big diff in WL. But I'm a guy and we gain most of our weight in different places.... like a beer gut. I think you should go with something used that you like now and if you learn to love it or want to spend more cash on lift tix get the leg straps shortened...alot cheaper than a new container.     OUCH... you are one tough cookie.... Take a break and let your grill heal. Also talk with your dentist.... If you are in any way connected with an industry; medical, advertising, etc... you may be able to get a "professional courtesy discount" my wife got one for her braces and it saved us about 2 grand.....     Yeah I was on a load with a guy at couchfreaks last summer when he lost like 400 bucks and about 10 lift tix when his pocket on his freefly suit blew out the zipper.     Got my mid deployment leave dates confirmed yesterday! I am approved to leave here on the 10th.... Unless it takes me a week to get out of mess-o-potamia I will be there making it for sure!
