And that is why I ask for the first appointment of the day. That way they aren’t backed up by emergencies or an appointment that took longer than expected. Of course it still doesn’t work. - appt for 8:00. - Show up at 7:50 - At 8:15 the office girl takes me to the exam room - At 8:30 the Dr comes in. Then to top it all off, you are there because the first time you were treated the doctor said “If this doesn’t work, next time we are going to do so and so but I don’t have what I need here to do so and so now”. When you make the appointment you let them know it didn’t work and that you would like the so and so treatment so please have what is needed ready. You come in for your appointment, they are not prepared despite your request but would be more than happy to schedule another appointment for you when they will be ready this time for sure. Rant off.

OO! That is one of my favorites! I loved Janis~ One of my favorite country lines right now is "The best view in the world, is the view from my front porch..looking in!" I loved Janis too but Kris Kristofferson (and someone whose name I forget) wrote Me and Bobby McGee. eta: Fred Foster is the name I forgot. But Janis knew how to DELIVER the line! I love lots of Dylan too.....when someone else sings it! No argument there

Live Ammo Found at Site Where Tea Party Protests Continue
david3 replied to rushmc's topic in Speakers Corner
Why is the University of Wisconsin handling security at the state capital? Is it not a little suspicious that the state was trying to use a "security sweep" as an excuse to end the protests, and lo and behold, they claim to have found some ammo in the vicinity? rushmc, since you know how the media will report everything, how would Fox News report this striking coincidence if the Governor were a Democrat, and the Tea Party was protesting? Have you been to Madison? I have worked and stayed there a bunch The capital and the university are nearly connected It is interesting that you think some kind of conspirisy in ammo found when those that found it are part of the public unions doing the protesting but who knows You might be right As for FOX I dont know if they carred this story none picked it up to any extent But I feel the rest of the media would have And beat it to death all week end had the senario you post come to pass IMO http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/03/03/judge-order-protesters-wisconsin-capitol/ You could be right and they would be wrong. -

What about the news story linked in your first post? Or doesn't that count? That is a local paper What about the national media Did you hear anything? Suppose it would have stayed local had it been a tea party rally at a Dem govenors office? The Associated Press is local? http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/41892845/ns/local_news-milwaukee_wi/ I thought anybody could pick that up? . -

That's a pretty sweeping vilification of the entire profession of news journalism. Is that really your intent? In an open society in which citizens participate in governance by, among other things, keeping themselves informed, who (if not reporters) would you have report the news? For a journalist as with a lawyer, there is a gray area between what is true and what is fact. With both professions, that gray area can be manipulated to sway opinions one way or another. Problem is...with journalists the stage has a greater audience, and the result of telling a story utilizing only facts without regard to the overall truth, is both harmful and misleading to the public. Add to that mix, some weaker journalists obvious inability to even get real facts to begin with...and we're basing our opinions and decisions on information no better than whats in 'trash mags' like the Inquirer. There is a reason one corporation or conglomerate shouldn't 'own' all the major news outlets, but it sure feels like it's headed that way. Too bad 'fair & balanced' is only a slogan. If you were truly fair and balanced, you wouldn’t have to say so. .

I hope I remember how much those kind of interviews piss me off if I ever find myself being asked for comment by a reporter. I hope I just walk away. Not easy to do if you feel you have to counter bad information that is getting out about someone you care about. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46bBWBG9r2o

Sad. Similar to this, my bike came from the factory with one double filament 1157 bulb as the rear marker light on the back end. One filament is lit as the marker and the other lights when you brake. If you are not on the brakes and the marker filament is broken you disappear into the dark just waiting to be rear ended. I rewired the turn singles to also accept double filament 1157 bulbs in stead of the stock single filament 1156 bulbs so that they are also marker lights. Because marker lights on the rear must be red I swapped the amber lenses for red. Now I would need all three bulbs to fail before I disappear.
