Why the hell do they want to cut it off? I mean fuck, maybe that is just the next step in Man's evolution - 3 arms!! Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

This is starting to make some sense. So the pic that you posted, is that from your laptop that IS NOT working? You say it DOES work when viewed online. What computer are you using to view the web page? What is the URL of the online link? It sounds like to me that there is a broken link someplace, or you're not accessing the document from the root of the web tree. those "./" and ".//" can be bastards sometimes. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

In some versions of Word or Powerpoint, you have to hold down the CTRL key while clicking on a link to activate it. I'm not sure how to turn this option off, but it's bugged me more than once during a presentation and the damn links didn't work until I did that. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! You got that right. How about explaining it for the rest of us non-latin speakers? I tried to translate it, but my translators think most of those words don't exist and I can't comprehend what it does understand. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! See Definition 1: #1) A deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection and solicitude toward a person, such as that arising from kinship, recognition of attractive qualities, or a sense of underlying oneness. #2) A feeling of intense desire and attraction toward a person with whom one is disposed to make a pair; the emotion of sex and romance. I wasn't referring to #2. Again, I am NOT gay. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

I am NOT gay! But I still love you!! Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

If I don't get a chance to tell you personally, or via some other electronic method - know that I do. Inspired from Muenkel's post about how he seems to have a deeper connection with all of dz.commers since the tragedies this weekened - I think that sentiment is so true that I had to tell all of you. Even If I've never met you, know that I care about you and that many more people other than myself care about you too. We're family and there's that bond between skydivers that seems so much more closer than relationships that I have with my whuffo friends that I've known for years. Be careful out there, people! I LOVE YA! Blue Skies Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

Definitely. We knew each other in person, but our friendship really seemed to blossom during our online activities - getting much more personal and closer than we ever would be when meeting up at the DZ. I knew I was going to get big hug from her whenever I saw her. I'm going to miss those. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

Ha, that reminds me of the many times when she first started using the Pub (before she was an Op) she'd change her name to ZUUL and just start kicking everyone out and talking so much shit. I don't believe I've ever laughed so hard looking at a computer monitor in all my life. And I definitely can't forget the countless number of times we'd discuss the intracacies of anal sex in front of the 10 or 20 people just chatting away.... Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! I was just thinking of this thread as I read about Shannon - thanks Cora! High - Holly will LOVE hanging out with Shannon!! Low - Knowing that another one of my dear friends has passed. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

Oh man this is hard to take in. I'm just finding out now and in total shock. Shannon was one of my best girl friends in the sport of skydiving. Oh man, I'm just .... don't know what to say. Hearing about all the tragic stuff that was happening from the start of this weekend was a big reason I didn't jump today. I miss you already girl! Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! I use greylisting on my personal email account and it cuts the spam from 10-100/day to maybe 1-2 a week. Greylisting works on the theory that a spammer mail server will not send the same message more than once from the same compromised mail server. So my accepting mail server simply rejects the first attempt at accepting mail from unknown sources until the same source sends again within a predetermined amount of time. Most legit mail servers will retry to send the mail message every few minutes up to 4 hours, then retry once a day for 4-5 days. Spammers like to send mail real quick through one mail server once, then shut it down and send mail from another mail server, etc... greylisting picks up on this behavior. Butthead: Whoa! Speaking from someone who just recently went through this process you are absolutely correct - there is NO taxes on life insurance payouts. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

Woot! That's right, the PUB is working again! http://www.dropzone.com/chat Looks lke Sangiro picked a good port too, so most people should be able to get in there without too many problems. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

Shannon, leave work and go - Now! From my last experience with such a thing, I still regret not leaving when I first thought about it. I don't mean to scare you, but I'll tell you the short version, of which I haven't posted on these forums yet. 1 week before last Christmas, December 18th, my Dad was complaining of chest pains and irregular breathing. He was rushed to the hospital early in the morning and the doctors said he was having a heart attack, so they operated on him immediately and put in a stint. I got a call that morning from my stepmom telling me what happened and saying that he was ok and there was no reason to come out. I spoke to him and he sounded fine and told me there was no reason to come and see him. I thought about him all day and finally made a decision in the evening to catch a flight out to see him the next morning on the 19th. Due to airplane problems and such, my flight was delayed for several hours from 7AM departure until 1PM. I arrived in NC early in the morning on the 20th. Soon after landing, I was told by by stepmom that he had passed away due to heart damage on the 19th - around 7PM. "If only" I would have taken the first immediate flight on the 18th, I probably would have been able to see him on the 19th before he passed that evening. That "if only" still lingers with me - 5 months later and will probably never leave me and I won't make the same mistake twice. Again, I don't want to scare you - but if I were you and had to do it all over again - I wouldn't even have started this thread, but would be finding the soonest flight out to see her. Go! It might not be the fatal ending like mine, but I'm sure she would be very very happy to see you. My Dad knew I was coming, but it was too late. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

It sure would be nice if the PUB CHAT link was fixed.
Cornholio replied to Cornholio's topic in The Bonfire
Otherwise, you can launch mIRC and put in these settings: Server: irc.supremechat.net ports 6666-7000 (pick one) Channel: #dropzone Or you can try this web applet, although the registration nag is a bit annoying. http://204.11.224.12/pubchat/ Sangiro, did I mention that it will only take about 15 seconds to make this change in the JPilot ini/html file ? Why, oh WHY is this not being changed? You know even a simple acknowledgment - like "Matt, fuck off" or something similar would be better than nothing... Although in the time it would take to reply to my thread, the link could have been changed 2 or 3 times already. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah!
