    How much?

Alright you goofballs, how much for the updates??? I have the slo mode now, is there a new mode for wingsuit, I know they have a new BASE mode too. What's involved with the shipping etc. Thanks, Blair PS: Hey Leroy, heard about you.....can't wait to meet ya!
  4. Hey Mark! NEVER been to Norway, hell my only E so far was 132', so I can't really say much about how to pack there, but I can tell you how I pack my mojo 280/velcro rig for terminal. I pack EXACTLY the same as I do slider down, (like Adam's slider down pack job) mainly because all of my slider up solid object jumps (save one and I deployed facing the tower anyway so my 180 actually put me flying in the right direction) are terminal....if I was doing subterminal slider up deployments off solid objects regularly, I would probably have some variation, or at the least spend more than 10 minutes on it. I have NEVER used a sail slider and don't think I ever will on this canopy. My BASE jumps at terminal are with the mesh slider, and a non-vented external handled ZP 32" PC. All of my openings were fast, but not too hard, most of them I had 1 or 2 cameras on as well. I have, on a couple of other occasions, done some low altitude skydiving with the same configuration...once exited at 5500 from a chopper, videoed a 2-way and deployed at 700', no problems on opening (and I know I know, I pulled high). I made these jumps with a rig that looks_alot_like the perigee 2, and as long as the velcro is in good condition, and your canopy fits the container, you shouldn't have any problems going to terminal...anywhere. Anyways, take all this with a grain of salt, because I SUCK, and I've never jumped anywhere except close to sea level, so have fun! C-ya Blair PS Just read tom's post,
  5. Dido what he said, seen it happen and a dislocated shoulder was the result, its simple, don't oufly your gear, or update yo shit
  6. YOU are a good friend....hope your friend heals fast..... BSBD
  7. Yo! I had the birdman clip saved on my desktop, I went into Adobe 6.5 and imported the file into a new project. I dragged the clip into the timeline, rendered the work area, and then plugged in my pc110 into the firewire card. I played the timeline while my camera was set in vtr mode, recording (had to do that manually) and seconds later I have the clip on a minidv tape. Hope this helps, now its a little easier to "show" folks I care about where my heart is..... Long delays and soft landings, Blair

    Protective Gear

So I know there are probably some threads here or on other forums pertaining specifially to protective equipment, but new stuff is always coming out (i got a SWEET pair of kneepads for Christmas) so I am intersted in products being used in the BASE environment.....excluding footware and helmets. What kind of knee/leg armor are you using, elbow/knee/shoulder armor, etc. Chest or body armor or back braces. Let me know your thoughts on it and how its features/design make it good for BASE. Also, if you have something that isn't easy to find, how about a link to where its available.

    How do you pack?

Yo I got a set of 8 clamps for $10 USD at Home Depot about a month ago. Still don't use them, old habits die hard I guess.
  10. Anyone jumping a PD Vengence as a main on their wingsuit jumps??? I am interested in hearing about your openings, wingloadings etc. Thanks for ANY input ....and please...flame on!!!
  11. In board line stows...please explain this, are you referring to taking a bite of inboard lines up near the canopy or is this something relating to stowing the lines on the bag????? Sorry for my ignorance, all help is appreciated... incidentially, I psycho pack the vengence, so in my opinion, its already messy, so I'll start there, and of course concentrate on relaxing during deployment and staying symmetrical. THanks again! BSBD
  12. I recently switched from a semi-elliptical saffire to a PD Vengence 150. I load the canopy at 1.57 lb/ft. When the canopy opens it seems to be flying all over the place and I have to get it flying straight and level before I can begin stowing slider etc. Is this normal and something that I'm just not used to since this is my first 'elliptical' wing? I know I have to pay close attention to body position and harness input, however I didn't think it would be so pronounced at this wing loading. I only have a dozen jumps on this canopy so far but any light y'all could share on vengence openings would be appreciated.

    Advice

yo skreamer The form people refer too (I believe) is one Moe V came up with and published in skydiving magazine a while ago, I will try and dig it up, then post it, basically its a short disclaimer that has blanks to fill in your name, date and object. pm me by the end of the week and I'll have it. c-ya Blair

Hey Man, Ask Rob and Kathy, and next time you're around, we can try and stuff my mojo 280 in it, if you like it, I would be willing to make you a 'smokin' deal on it!!!!!!!!

    BASE Canopies

Please give feedback on the ACE as well?? Thanks
  16. Tom I too know a DZO who will let you do multi ways from 2000', he also invited me to an airshow where I did a 2 way with a skydiver from a Helo at 5500', I played with my buddy for awhile, videoed his opening, then turned and tracked over the runway and dumped around 600' (I know...a high pull:), but the crowd loved it...."hey man.....pull yure' strang!!!!!!!!!" Look us up when you come East.

    First experience

OK my first jump was after about 250 skydives, I had BASE specific gear(mojo280 and velcro rig), and was being mentored by one of the best in the world. I was PCA'd off a 230' B, that has a nice landing area. I guess the scariest thing about it was that it was Friday the 13th, and my "new" mojo had 13 patches on it.....etc.etc.etc. black death hahahahahah But that night my life changed, I truely believe, for the better. I can't imagine not BASE jumping, I've been out with an injury since August, and its been the worst......but the only thing that keeps me positive, is that I KNOW I will jump again, and I know that feeling.....the one after you exit, before you start to accel. then all your periphial vision, blurrs upwards (oops I'm drooling), then the CRACK of a slider off 3 second delay....fu(king SWEET! c-ya BASE 700
  20. Bryan, I too am fascinated as I sit here awaiting my first wingsuit....any day now. Let me know if you make it to see the guy in Atlanta, I'm about 4 hours from there East, would love some company in the sky....and eventually on wind-through fixed objects have fun brother!
  21. I have not tried it yet with the rig as is, I figured I'd better go ahead and do it first...unless its more expensive than a reserve repack
  22. MODIFIED!!I was wondering if anyone has any detailed instructions on modifying the G3 for wingsuit flight...is it sent back to the factory or something I can do with my local rigger??? The main in it is a Vengence 150. Thanks in advance! Also what about pc size and bridle length?
