    I could have done that. But if the NWS changes the options on the METAR page, all the links would need to change. It was a compromize. That would be a lot of links on one page too. 50 pulldown menus is enough already. The idea is for you to bookmark your favorites and not need to go back to the program. That is what I did on my personal weather page, but then I wanted more, and figured other people would too. Not knocking on you at all, but you could probably script it so it just takes changing one link in the source to update all of the links. Would be less coding too!     That's too bad, because it makes sense. I wonder if there is a commercial trap (along the same line, probably for some other bug) that won't fall apart and the squirrels can't get into. Mosquitos emit a very specific sound. What you need is two high-gain mics that can be used to triangulate it, a couple gyroscopes you can drive with electric motors and a free-swinging assembly you can use to aim the laser (using the gyroscopes.) A 1 watt laser ought to be more than capable of frying a mosquito in under a second! Just detect the sound, get its position, rotate the laser and fire! PEW! MUAHAHAHAHHAHA! Ahem. Sorry, I get that way whenever lasers are involved. Make sure the orientation of the laser is pointing down, not up. That could get you in some pretty deep water with the FAA and FBI.     Honestly, I PERSONALLY would continue to jump it without repair. The ones in the black fabric are barely noticeable, the others are just slightly more noticeable. If you want to get them patched, that's your call, but it would end up likely with a much bigger patch, it's a bitch to make small patches.     I believe they typically have the plane nearby, at a different airport. If there's a problem with the active bird, the other one is there to take it's place. There was a documentary on tv I believe that explained Bush's trip to Baghdad for Thanksgiving 2003 and the logistics of making it happen with both birds... Even so far as saying that they were a Citation or Gulfstream or something. ETA: I think THIS is it. The Baghdad trip portion starts about 30 mins in.
