    Just operate ham radio gear from under canopy starting at 18K. If conditions are good we might be able to make HF SSB radio contacts thousands of miles away. Of course it isn't a big deal in skydiving, but it is getting some attention in ham radio, a far more docile hobby. 377 You know, HF SSB has been done before, on the ground, and around the globe...     If all the computers are on the internet, they are all using TCP/IP Unless he has a hybrid network that uses a computer to route from NetBEUI to TCP/IP... in which case, he probably wouldn't be asking this question.     Did you try enabling Simple filesharing on the new computer? My computer> Tools View> Use Simple Filesharing (recommended) should be checked. (Its the last one on the list) If the other computers are seeing it, and it is seeing some of them, and the other computers all see each other, it sounds like a computer that forced itself to be the master isnt updating. Try shutting them all down, and rebooting them (with one computer that you want to be the head honcho up and running first) The head honcho computer will force an election on the network saying that it is the master because it was on first. The rest of the computers should report to that master. The one you want to connect to. Workgroups are funny, sometimes computers just dont show up. Domains are a little easier to work with.     Make sure that the workgroup is the same. If you got the dell new, it probably has MSHOME set for the workgroup and some computers come with WORKGROUP set. Try this: Start>Run \\(ip address or name of computer)\ OK see if it pulls it up. Ive seen some weird things, and it could be a number of them. If it comes up with the IP and not the name, its a DNS error.
