No not at Sun & Fun, we haven't done that show in years. The JAARS aircraft are also always at Oshkosh, that bird does a very impressive STOL performance every year at the show. I made my 1st jump at Air-Venture from that very airplane in 1984 and many others over the years from it, and the JAARS DC-3. Sadly it looks like that plane is pretty fucked up. I came VERY close to being one today. Person had ~70 jumps and was flying against the pattern. I checked my landing area and air space under/behind me only to look up and see someone headed right for me @ ~150'. They managed to see that it was a bad place and did a 180 hook... #24: Drunk Driving on the Internet 1994: An article by John Dvorak in PC Computing magazine described a bill going through Congress that would make it illegal to use the internet while drunk, or to discuss sexual matters over a public network. The bill was supposedly numbered 040194 (i.e. 04/01/94), and the contact person was listed as Lirpa Sloof (April Fools backwards). The article said that the FBI was going to use the bill to tap the phone line of anyone who "uses or abuses alcohol" while accessing the internet. Passage of the bill was felt to be certain because "Who wants to come out and support drunkenness and computer sex?" The article offered this explanation for the origin of the bill: "The moniker 'Information Highway' itself seems to be responsible for SB 040194... I know how silly this sounds, but Congress apparently thinks being drunk on a highway is bad no matter what kind of highway it is." The article generated so many outraged phone calls to Congress that Senator Edward Kennedy's office had to release an official denial of the rumor that he was a sponsor of the bill. Harness resizing is fairly cheap, but the container cannot be resized without rebuilding it... If the yoke is too wide or narrow, the new harness will still not fit just right. If it were me, I'd go used all the way... If I don't find a container/harness that fits, I would get the container that fits, and get the harness resized. FWIW, I recently repacked a Javelin that had the harness resized, which took them a while to do, and its still not even close to what it should be. You have to make sure that you wire the diode in series with the panel, most of the ones that plug into the cig lighter already have that done. Not to mention they're easier to hook up If you do hard wire it, and don't put the diode in series, you'll just drain the battery faster! I had a plan (which I lost momentum on) to integrate a solar panel in the truck, wired to a gel cell battery (similar to the one in the power pack) that was wired to a couple old ford starter solenoids (cheaper than high amperage relays) to jump start my truck, from the drivers seat, without popping the hood. I thought of something today, what if it only severs the outer portion of the closing loop, allowing the finger trap to shift and encase the pin... It SHOULDN'T effect it, but that's adding quit a bit of contact area to the pin.
