  1. I searched the forums and couldn’t anything. Just wondering if anyone knows why PD stopped building the Vengeance. A friend of mine purchased rig with a 120 in it and it’s to small so I was thinking of buying it from him and keeping it until I downsize.
  2. Do some Hop and Pops so you can get next to the door. A lot places will open the door after the first thousand feet as long as the weather is warm. Feel the cool air blowing by and get comfortable. It helps get rid of that door fear that many new jumpers have. The only thing thats going to put you out that door is you. Think about whats going to go right. Learn everything there is to know about the gear. Go to the manufacturers web pages and talk to the riggers this will help build your trust in the equipment. I started getting comfortable after my first cutaway because the stuff actually works. You have only 15 jumps but its fifteen more than 99 percent of the population.
  3. Don’t worry about it, they’re just ignorant and afraid to come out of their ESPN bullshit comfort zone. They want to live forever on a sofa with a remote control the size of a shoe box within arms reach at all times. I don’t even talk about skydiving around whuffos because they don’t get it. Guys at my work talk about golf and I glaze over because I don’t get it. See the point I’m making? Let them idolize and drool at over paid athletes who are followed around by the masses of under achievers who would sell their wives into slavery to hump the leg of some pro football or basketball player.
  4. From the UK? I'd go to Spain. In the States, somewhere out west in California or Utah. Perris, Eloy, Lodi..........
  5. Is skydiving anywhere safe? I dont see why not, I think they did a world record there in the past. 400 way maybe....... Just dont drink the water.
  6. Not only that but; -Not making your child go to school. -Not making them do thier homework. -Not knowing were they are or when they will be home. -Feeding them fast food. -Letting them play Xbox to much. -Not getting involved and ecouraging them to partake in positive activities such as team sports or other constructive hobbies. -Not teaching them the value of hard work. -Not teaching them that Government is not the answer to any problems. ect....ect....ect.... Just a an opinion, nothing more
  7. Todd there are so many variables that end in an undesirable result. I think it was stated earlier that some dropzones are going to have more incidents than others because of the shear amount of skydiving taking place. Eloy or Deland may have more total injuries than say a Midwest 182 DZ. If it will help look up your dz here on dz.com and see what others have to say about the place.
  8. I just wait till everyone behind me starts screaming to get out. It takes the burden of making such a difficult decision out of my hands.
  9. TK you are very wise. I have a son who has asperations of following in his fathers footsteps and joining the armed forces. I dont want him to go get in harms way on some politicains boonedoggle thats in response to the inept EU's need to serve the greater good.
  10. All of which were in response to Arab agression.
  11. Can you provide examples of the resolutions that Israel has violated?
  12. What could go wrong? With the complete lack of strong cohesive leadership in Washington I'm afraid to wonder.
  13. Like myself there are many in the skydiving community with military experience. I’m just curious what your thoughts are concerning the administrations planned support of the Syrian rebels with the deployment of “military aid”. It looks like a no win situation because Assad is backed by Hezbollah and the rebels are backed by Al Qaeda both of whom have no love what so ever for America and they have expressed those feelings with extreme violence. With Russia possibly getting involved it looks like history repeating itself yet again.
  14. I think the idea is completely retarded. There's alot more to skydiving than freefall. I knew a guy who had tons of tunnel time but almost killed himself under his canopy. The tunnel is a great training tool but it doesnt replace all that goes into making a jump. Also I hate it when its called "indoor skydiving"
  15. It does tend to get a bit carried away but do you have to be so blunt?
  16. Question 1. Not nearly as much as I'd like. Question 2. Yes, mostly to my pride. I did get hit in the face once by a spring loaded pilot chute, and I cut my finger on a jagged edge while leaving a cessna. Question 3. In my humble opinion, 9 of 10 times is when somone is moving really fast and makes contact with something thats not. The 10th would be an act of god or whatever higher being one chooses to worship.
  17. You refering to the guy from Sebastion? I thought it was his legs straps he forgot to attach?
  18. Yes it was a joke but people have been mis routing chest straps long before gopros were around. I didnt even have a gropro when I discovered my issue. He failed long before it was time to turn that camera on. He failed when he put the gear on, climbed on the plane and during the ride to altitude.
  19. I think he learned his lesson, or at least I hope so. I actually had a miss routed chest strap before but caught it on the ride up. I think it was becasue I wasnt distracted by my GoPro
  20. Just because someone has a license do to something doesnt make them any safer. Look at how many people die on our roads every year.
  21. Inquire with whatever the Canadian version of the FAA is. I wouldnt think there would be a whole lot of air traffic in the Yukon so that wouldnt be an issue. Landing off would on the other hand be a life and death struggle. I just lost a friend back in January wingsuiting in Washington. His body still hasnt been found.
  22. Do you think he'll really blame himself if his shit gets jacked?
