I actually got a notice on Skype that it was his birthday (including year). It's pretty easy to get lots of birthday wishes when you're fishing! Plus, since his age is on there, I guess we kind of feel like he needs a part with cake, funny hats, and a pony. ... but he's so old I'm afraid he's going to start molding soon... he wouldn't even come out with us last night to karaoke because it was "too late". I'm sure that's just what he told you... he probably just had better plans Unlikely. He's a grandpa

That SUCKS! There are actually a handful of guys in our area who had only one tube snipped (gotta love army docs), were later surprised with pregnant wives, and had to have the procedure done AGAIN

Thanks for the thread and a peek into your soul. That's a hard decision to make and to follow through with. So which camera body did you get? D7000 I thought about getting the D800, but it is hard to justify since I'm not a pro-photog charging people money. Besides, then I would have to get FX glass and get rid of all my DX glass. I'd love to hear more on how you like the new camera, once you get more time with it. It's funny, I was having the new camera debate with my husband between those two cameras ("But honey, if I get the D800 I'll never need to upgrade!" ).

Mmmm. Hormel chili, yum. I just use those awesome McCormick chili seasoning packets and whatever variety of meat and veggies happen to be in my fridge. Oh and ranch powder.

Nice. I got a real pie (strawberry cream pie, to be specific), it was much tastier than plain old whipped cream. What ever you do, though, don't put hot sauce in it, if you're making a fridge pie. Saw a guy get sauerkraut and tabasco (along with who knows what else) in his eyes after his 100th. That was not pretty at all.

Who/what the hell is Bevil and But head? I had a Puerto Rican friend flying from Vegas to Atlanta for the Halloween boogie at the Farm last year. His rig was confiscated, they had handcuffed him, and he was starting to get escorted out when a higher up TSA guy walked by, looked down and said, "Nice Infinity". Well, he's flying back to the Farm for another boogie this weekend, I'll be curious to see how it goes. Seriously? Was there anything more to the handcuffs and confiscation other than he was carrying a rig? Just curious. Anyways, I've yet to have any issues with the TSA (and really they hold nothing to the security agency China uses in their airports).

I'll be sure to give them a call sometime. Glad to know I don't have to worry about international calling fees anymore. I wonder if this technique would work for calling family back in the states? Hmmmm....

Every day should be mommies day!! But Mothering Sunday is historically the 4th Sunday in Lent (Christian calendar) .. NOT a Hallmark holiday!! Ooooo, interesting. We mighgt have to start celebrating Mothering Sunday in our house, instead of Mother's Day. Thanks for the info!

I got a Kindle for Christmas and I LOVE it. However, let's face it, I'm not going to pay $10 for the digital copy of a book when I can check it out from the library for free. I check out a lot of non-fiction and self-help from the library and anything I can't find cheap for my Kindle. I think I have 7 library books out right now. ETA: And I check out movies and CDs, too. You can copy the CDs, and you really can't beat a free movie night!

I can't wait to see the movie. If the movie is half as good as the trailer, I think it'll be worth the money. I'm just bummed I have to wait an extra week to see it since I'm overseas (but I'm not complaining since it will actually be shown in our theater!!!). I didn't hear of the trilogy until the first movie trailer came out last fall. I put off reading the books for a month so I could read them after my graduation in December. I read them in three days I'm a fan
