  1. Unfortunately, the insurance company Verizon uses will only replace your phone twice in a year... And I had to have mine replaced twice last month

    Miss Kansas

Yeah, there's a picture of her in our local paper this morning and to tell you the truth, I think the tattoo looks trashy for this "wholesome" pageant and her choice of footwear with the bikini she's wearing looks like shit. Shaw would like that. He'd be too intimidated by her. And then he'd call her fat.
  3. GRILLED fresh peaches over ice cream. Heavenly
  4. And watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, bananas, cucumbers, bell peppers, carrots, and a shit load of other stuff....but thats another thread That SUCKS! Anyways, my fave canned peaches recipe. They turn out great, and I'm a fan of no syrup. http://simplyhomemaking60.blogspot.com/2012/07/am-repeating-this-post-from-last-year.html And this is a pretty good peach butter without all the sugar. http://foodinjars.com/2013/09/honey-sweetened-peach-vanilla-jam/#more-5785
  5. I gave up those and then some (dairy, wheat, soy, beef, oatmeal, peanuts, and almonds) when I realized they were causing issues in my breastfed baby. I saw similar changes in my digestion and with my headaches (ie, I didn't have any and when I ate wheat, I got a fierce one). I also discovered that dairy is the cause of my childhood eczema (dairy was the last food I reintroduced and it came back with a vengeance). When we moved back in May and then waited another 6 weeks for our things to arrive from overseas, I found being dairy and wheat-free to be next to impossible. Anyways, it's worth it, I did it for six months, and want to get back to it. I certainly don't eat dairy or grains nearly as much as I used to, but I find it hard to say "no" when we go out to eat or have dinner at a friend's house. It's a lot harder to drop those foods a second time. Good luck!
  6. When professional athletes were tough to When professional athletes were dough
  7. You guys are cracking me up. Exactly what I need when I should be catching up on sleep (seriously, I think Sleeping Through The Night is some big magical myth. ANYways).... OP, part of me wants to say "DONT DO IT, NOT WORTH THE DRAMA!!!!"
  8. I definitely expected porn stars, too
  9. If you can see this shit then the damn filter on your end must be fucken turned off I turned it off
  10. Right?? I kept getting whole posts blurbed out for "Adult Content." I don't even know how it ended up getting turned on in my settings.... Half the fun of this place is accidentally opening something disturbing that you never wanted to see
  11. I know I'm not around much these days, but when did that happen? And whose idea was it??? And now I see a NSFW box that can be checked! So many changes (although the NSFW box is kind of nifty)!
  12. Thanks for the info on the book swap! We just pulled tons of books out of storage and we have no idea what to do with them now!! Some will be read again, but certainly not all....
  13. I wasn't keen on making the ereader transition, but did it for traveling a couple years ago. Honestly, I really liked the kindle right away, but I felt equal love for both. And then I had my son. My kindle was a sanity saver in the early days when I was learning to nurse him. There was no way I would've been able to hold a book and turn pages one handed.

    Pop Tarts

When I ate them, room temp, definitely. Now I don't them because 1) full of crap like skymama said, and 2) I don't support the company (the main reason). And Frosted Grape?? Really? Gross
  15. DITTO. It's one of the best about the Vietnam helicopter experience. Double ditto. My husband frequently raves about this one.
  16. HI Fort "Lost in the Woods" to tell you this but for the people that are doing basic training in that nice facility there is no such thing as a little time. The best authority to ask about the DZ, s in that area is the conference director. Mr Gary Peak. He coauthored the front page story with Mr Mullins. Mr Peak even answers the phone. Lost in the woods experiences extreme temps in the winter and summer.Since you got the baby with you get a good inbrief about all the ticks, chigers, and other creapy crawlers unique to the area. Don't sweat the cessna dz stigmas, it's just some turbine baby's that don't have a clue about the special bonding you can develope at the right cessna dz. R.I.P. Yeah, I'm over the bugs Other than that, I actually really like it here. I think we're going to start checking out DZs this weekend
  17. Ok, we arrived a couple weeks ago, so it's well past time to find a dz! Google, uspa, and the listings here aren't really matching up. Anyone here spend a little time at Fort Leonard Wood and have a recommendation? I'm hoping the listing on here for the dropzone in Rolla is legit, since my kiddo hates the carseat. Thanks!
  18. Fuckin-a this instrument stuff is difficult. Where's that dunce cap at these days? Kwitcherbitchin. It's a German word

    Tattoos?

Oh, my I think I found my next one In all seriousness, I have two. Hubby has two. Yes, they have meaning. Sometimes, I think about getting another/more, but then I remember how much my last one hurt and I know it's unlikely (for the record, back of the thigh hurts like a biotch). There's a picture of the last one floating around here somewhere. I'm with John on not visible to a judge. Most people don't even know that either of us have any. Oh, and I don't think I'd ever get one over a scar. I once got a shot through a scar and that hurt quite a bit.
