i have a short friend at work who always explains this daunting difference away as, "it all lines up when you're laying down." I don't know why he always brings this up considering both him and wife are 5' nothing! i would say that it is different, but not necessarily daunting. i agree with the comments of the tall folk who were discriminated against on this thread. the only time being tall sucks is when sitting in a cessna, or when buying clothes. or when paying for custom gear. or when buying cars! i just caught the opening scene of moonraker (i think) this past weekend. so bond tosses the bad guy (with rig) out of the plane, then chases after him. in the fight for the rig, you notice that bond now has goggles on that he didn't have before. so anyway, bond gets the rig. then the guy with the metal mouth comes to kick bond's ass, but somehow bond manages to not only kick him off, but also to cause a reserve malfunction. o well, it's not like any whuffo would notice! b

This could be the case too...I know we keep the planes within eyeshot of the airport a lot of the time so that the pilot could dead stick it back if they had to. I guess this variable would really depend on the comfort level of the pilots with the airworthiness of the airplanes

0:7:1 WOO HOO! Felt good to be back in the air, first time since Eloy! Sounds like the winds gave some other folks some problems too...Saturday was great, but Sunday I managed to get 2 in before being winded out. My buddy wasn't so lucky on our last jump. The wind had picked up and he landed right next to the runway, and then a gust of wind took his chute and dragged him across the runway. He was ok, but it shredded part of his shirt and 2 reserve flaps on his container. Luckily it didn't burn through to the freebag, but close. Oh my beer was for finally leading a couple tracking dives. Just was always someone else around who wanted to lead more than me! But saturday evening a couple of the younger guys wanted to do one so i said sure i'd give it a shot. It was fun and managed to cover tons of ground.

I can't go off and just boycott McD's...As everyone says, you occasionally get crappy service or bad food from any resturant. Just the other night i got physically sick from eating Olive Garden. Go figure. I don't eat at McD's a lot, but i do enjoy it on occasion. I know which locations in my city have crappy drive thru's, and which ones have the best breakfast burritos. It all comes down to location - not chain. HERE'S MY GRIPE! I totally agree with you of how much of a robbery it is for condiments. I mean what the hell, are ketchup and mustard the only things free anymore? There are so many better dipping sauces for food and french fries including ranch, bbq, honey mustard, and mayo. Yet i've been charged for all these condiments before. What a bunch of crap! You know what you can do about this? Bring your own. A chicken wing place near us charges 75 cents for a few dips worth of ranch. We just started bringing in a bottle and putting it down in the middle of the table. We were approached about it before and they didn't seem to care when we said we'd raise hell and not come back if they told us to leave. No commotion since!

SNOOOOOW! I'm so sad i didn't get any snow jumps in this year! I really don't like doing them often, but one a season is always fun esp if you get to surf the top of fresh snow. Hopefully i can make it out this upcoming weekend for the first time since new years...i'm crossing my fingers for good weather!!! b
