Hey everyone! I've been participating in Relay for Life for a few years now and my next event is in a few weeks. I set myself a pretty ambitious fundraising goal and I've done pretty well so far, but I still need help to get there. I've only had the pleasure of meeting a few dz.commers, but I figured that this was a good place to turn for help. Relay for Life is a very important event to me. I first got involved with it with my mom after she was diagnosed with breast cancer. I was only a kid so at that point my support went as far going with her to the event. My involvement fluctuated quite a bit throughout high school and college, but after my mom lost her long battle with the disease I renewed my efforts. Cancer does not discriminate. Man or woman. Young or old. Skydiver or non-skydiver. Chances are that we've all known someone that's been impacted. You should look at Skydive Dallas. I'm not sure how easy it is to get to from the airport since I always drove from Tulsa when I went there, but I'm sure if you call them they can give you some information on that. There's also a tunnel that just opened in Dallas. Another great option would be Skydive Arizona. The weather should be great in late September, they turn lots of loads, and there's a tunnel on site. There's also a bunkhouse, team rooms, and hotel on the dz so you have lodging covered. Or you can camp for free. On Friday, we had added a new member to our little family. My girlfriend and I had been talking about getting a dog for a while and finally decided that the time was right. Her name is Mochi. She's 9 months old and is a Chihuahua and Dachshund mix. She's very sweet and has been settling in very well.

I'm having a small dispute with an HVAC company about replacing some duct work in my attic so that I can finally get some airflow into the master bedroom. They came out to the house and took a look, gave me an estimate, and then sent me a contract. The price was reasonable so I signed it and sent it back to them. After I returned the contract, they contacted me and said that they will not schedule the job until the fall. The contract states that it is good for 30 days. Does that 30 days apply only to me signing it or does it bind them to start the project in that time frame as well? I am in California, if that makes any difference.
