Negatives never helps productivity, So never mind what some say that may discourage a thought, I also thought about paintball under canopy, Above a un-populated area and high enough to handle any wraps or collisions I imagine the fun of a "Dogfight" with some friends, A paintball gun velcro'd on your thigh with a bite switch trigger..lol..That would be GREAT fun.. Keep the mind open, works better that way. ------Have a good one!--------

Tom got you on the right direction, What you need to do is talk to your instructer and ask him or her about packing, not just learning for yourself but as a job, almost all D.Z's are in need of packers so learn to pack for cash, As your packing keep your eye's and ears open, you will learn alot faster. ------Have a good one!--------

lol..I know exactly what your saying about getting knocked down by a running dog, If you open a door and say "Who wants to go outside" in this house you better get out of the way before the dogs get there because there is no stopping them shy of closeing the door and then that still might not stop them..lol..
-
Yes Clay but your not technically a real dog, I know I know you share many a same traits like running all night then sleeping on the couch all day, lapping any stinky thing in front of your nose and barking well on all fours are just a few but your still not a "Real Dog"..lol.

I'm sorry for making ya mad, I can sing it for ya.. "I done ran into my baby, and finally found my old blue jean, I done ran into my baby, and finally found my old blue jean, I could tell that they's where mine from the Oil and Gasoline,.... If I ever get back my blue jean, Lord how happy could one man be,.. If I ever get back my blue jean, Lord how happy could one man be. Because If I get back those blue jean you know my baby will be bringing them home to me.".. That is a great blues song.. I can feel is heart ache.. I have it on "The Best of ZZ Top" C.D.. Another great heart break song is "All Mixed up" by "The Cars". That song also Gets Me when I'm heart hurt and feeling sad.

I have 2 big dogs, Hershey is a Chocolate lab/Blood hound mix. He also goes by the Name "Hounddog" and it's H.D if we don't want him knowing we are talking about him. The Dog is all nose. Billy Jack Bounce is the registration name for my German Shepherd and I hate to admit my g/f and I also call him "Pooka Bear".(don't ask me why?). He's a 115 pound spoiled brat. Won't eat steak if there is ketchup on it, he will whine till it's wiped off and he must play ball right after sunset...

I raise horses for fun here in Pennsylvania and I had one eat something that cut her stomach and it was killing her, Had to put her down and was told that I had to shoot her in the head with a bullet because if I put her to sleep with a needle "Dads Dog Food" would not take her and I had to have them take her because I would have to get a permit to bury her from the township I live in and that takes time, more time then I wanted this horse laying/decomposing/stinking in my field. I kinda like the idea of completing the food chain and feeding dogs with the horse after I thought about it, It is sad but at least it is not a sad waste.

One of the main reasons I shot so many student video is I love watching their face and sharing their first jump experience. Have seen a few freak, not as many as a lot would think though. Most people that do skydive do it because they want to. Have learned that the guy in a group of guys might be the one that freaks. It seems that a guy would be more prone to do something because his friends are doing it more so than a girl. I tend to think girls will say No to anyone a lot faster than a young dude. Did have a girl faint while hanging from the strut of a 182 on her first static-line jump..lol.. I said Go and her eyes rolled back and she was out..But thats a different story..lol. Roy.

I will go to the WFFC with an open mind on the problems that a new location could/will present and be very forgiving about those problems. I know about some of what could/will happen for a few reasons. I have been around this sport since my first jump in 1983. I have been a big help in building my home D.Z from a van and a 182 at a public airport to the turbine D.Z it is now on private land and buildings that we cleared and built. I have seen D.Z's open and close and come and go. I was at SDC in 98 and again last year and give R. Nelson my up most gratitude for being honest and making it better and better and fixing the problems that came up. BUT this is my point, Roger listens to the jumpers and makes his place better for them. Don K has mislead if not down right lied about aircraft and improvements and that could be a sign of poor character. One year there is a problem and the same problem the next year and the next without change but promises to fix. And his fixes that did occur usually were the best for him and his protection or the towns people and not for the jumpers. If this is not true then tell me why his attendance dropped so and he had to leave Quincy?? And yes he had to leave because he knew very few would return if he did not move/change the WFFC. I hope you don't think I don't like Don. I have great respect for the man. He has to be an extremely intelligent man to get to where he is and every time I have been around him he was very polite and friendly to all. It's just I think he may at times trade small amounts of honesty and sincerity for large attendance numbers and the money that brings. I also think with his experience from Quincy and the knowledge he gained from it he will make Rantoul the better place, I hope so. Because the WFFC can be the best place on Earth. P.S.: I'm gonna get flamed but it's my 2 cents.

It is going to hurt for a long time, But believe it or not your lucky it did crack and bleed, If you would of smashed it and it not of cracked the pressure under the nail would build till you went to the doc in much pain and released the pressure by drilling a small hole in the nail (been there and done that. NO FUN). Just keep it wrapped and clean and deal with the pain till the new nail pushes the old out and off, it will take along time and will be ugly even longer. As I type I have a Big toe nail growing in, I smashed it forward into the front of my ski boot when I snagged an edge when snow skiing 5 months ago, It is less then 1/2 way grown in. Sorry to tell ya the bad news and I hope it feels better and heals fast. Blue skies.. Roy.

I have been to SDC twice and loved it, Great place, Great people, Was there for last years Summerfest and it was wonderful. I have been to many WFFC's and had many good times there but I also have been very disappointed there about many things, The crappy place they put private planes, The golf cart regulations made us feel like under aged criminals, The VERY late announcement of a no show jet and the Police are just a few. I swore I would never go back, BUT being that it is at a new place and Don K knows about these complaints I will forgive and forget and give Rantoul a ONE TIME chance this year, So our plans are to go to Rantoul and if we encounter any problems we will go North to SDC and not return to The WFFC, I know many that share these same feelings so only time will tell. Blue ones... Roy.. A.K.A. Zinger.

I was thinking the same thing, I once found a man that was lost after a night jump by his burning smell, I'll never forget that smell, He's O.K now, Almost lost his leg after his life was saved.

1995 My buddy the D.Z.O and myself were teaching a large static-line class of more than 20 students. We are on the emergency procedures part of the class and I just finished putting the first student in the training harness hanging from the hanger roof. I was standing on the second rung of a 3 foot step ladder and I said to all the students "Now watch this" and at that point I MEANT to hop off the ladder but instead of me pushing off of the ladder the ladder went out from under me and I fell backwards and instead of P.L.Fing I put my arm down to catch my fall. VERY WRONG move! I broke my arm in 6 places, 4 dislocations and 2 fractures. It was very disfigured. I hit the ground, jumped up and cradled my arm in my oversized T-Shirt almost instantly. I looked at all the students and I think all had their mouths open in disbelief. I looked at my buddy and said "I broke my fucking arm" he looked at me and said "You broke your fucking arm" I looked at him again after looking at my arm and said "It's really fucking bad" and he looked at me and said "It's really fucking bad" I then looked at him again and said "Quit fucking repeating me" and we both kinda just looked at each other and then he yelled at a student to go get help and the Stu ran out yelling "Roy broke his fucking arm and it's really fucking bad and he needs help!". I went through 2 surgerys and did 6 days in the hospital and to this day it is still messed up. The question that caused many disagreements around the camp fire is "Is this a skydiving related injury??..lol.. Hope you lol about this but more importantly I hope all realize how dangerous those ladders are. Blue Ones...Roy.. A.K.A. ZINGER .... P.S. I was told later that all the stu's jumped and did great P.L.F Landings.

It would have to be a "A.C Cobra 427" Big block, I'll take it in any stock color, I'm not picky as long as it's a big block.
