No the serial number is a random number that is made up at the time of completion.. they typically take a dart and throw it at a board with random numbers.. once the number has been hit they take it down and don't use it again.. it gives the people making the suits something to look forward to.. when else can you throw a sharp object at a board in your working environment?
  3. OMG!! YOU suck! Sobe burns when it comes out your nose! Make believe cop car! HEHEHEEEEHEHEHEEEEE. God Damn! That is the funniest thing I have read all week! Now, I can't stop thinking of Rob G driving it around the campground at zhills saying quietly over the PA "show me yer boobies." There was nothing quiet about what he said over the pa :)
  4. Sooo peppermint, was it good for you ?
  5. Think you did seeing your profile said you only had one post :)
  6. I know there was a good bit of jitter about FS2002 a while back, well check out this website.. screenshots of the new FS2004, a century of flight. THey have a bunch of the older planes (DC3, Spirit of St Louis, etc..) they didn't say when it's out but i'm guessing december of 2004 since that is the anniversary..
  7. So everyone has had family trips i'm sure.. and if you have brothers or sisters, you know about the whole fighting over the seats, radio stations, music, bathroom stops and everything else including the parents threatening to "turn the car around" "pull this f*kin car over" and "don't make me stop this d*mn car" .. well that was what mine was like.. anyway, my dad is a country fan, my mom doesn't listen to hard rock.. or alternative.. so we were stuck with Alabama, CCR (my personal fav from the trips -- i think CCR was a tad bit too edgy for the parents) and I also remember Clarance Carter.. Being the young lad I was, I didn't really listen to the lyrics -- rather just the overall beat and whatnot.. well for some reason or other I decided to download Strokin' .. my GOD what were my parents thinking. Have you guys listened to this song? Please allow me to take an excerpt: "Stroke it Clarence Carter, but don´t stroke so fast If my stuff ain´t tight enough, you can stick it up my...´ WOO! " Wow.. a little edgy for that time period wasn't it?
  8. Ooo is this portia's FIRST post ? :)
  9. I think it is entirely possible to be "safe" and still jump a f111 canopy. My first canopy (which btw is for sale with the rig) is a cruiselight 220, while I didn't put many jumps on it (mainly because of a backwards landing incident -- i weigh nothing and the canopy was huge).. i havent jumped a falcon (i don't think, maybe my student jumps was on one) but my cruiselight did me just fine if I wasn't jumping in a high wind situation. 10. I'm not positive about the positive rate of climb, however I'm pretty sure he's got it down into the single digits.. but if your timing is off you're fawked...
  11. Width, not length. Ground effect for a wing suit would probably happen at about 1 1/2 feet off the ground and would help cushion the impact only a little. I still think a wing suit will be intentionall and successfully landed someday. Hook I still say airbag.. and I think I would be willing to try it from small heights.. (to start off with) i can see a giant airbag running half the length of a runway, flying the cessna a few hundered feet up (where it is safe to just jump onto the airbag and be okay.. much like a jumping from the top of a building stunt) i know you wouldn't have much time to get the suit up to speed and whanot but to see what landing on an airbag in a suit would feel like.. seems somewhat safe to me.
  12. agreed...too bad he hooked up with Brittany Spears...that kind of ruined him for me! I heard he got a model pregnant, who was that ?

    How old is fabers sister?
  14. Funny (or not) you should mention this. A couple friends of mine, let's change their names to Noreen and Matt, (not that they're particularly innocent), went to the South of the Border Boogie a couple weeks ago. After checking their rigs and passing through security, they were paged back to the checkin counter. "Some half-literate TSA monkey" didn't know how to put their rigs back together. The whole thing - main, reserve, freebag, CYPRES - was strewn across the floor. At this point, I'm of the opinion that you are way better off carrying the rig than checking it. At least that way you have the opportunity to tell them what it is, present credentials, etc. Peter OH MY LORD. I would be IRATE and I don't get irate very often.
  15. I thought you left.. because your instructors told you not to talk to people online..
  16. Well the movie Phonebooth is opening on Friday.. after waiting TWO YEARS to release it.. it was originally supposed to be released in november of 2001, but because it was shot in NYC they thought it was unappropriate.. so they moved it to november of 2002 which was around the time of the great sniper shootings in my back yard.. so since the movie is about a sniper, they deemed it inappropriate.. so FINALLY it is being released this friday. They interviewed the director.. and get this, the entire movie took 12 days of shooting.. that's it! 10 days in NYC and 2 days in other places.. that's nuts.. 12 days of shooting took 2 years to release :( I think it looks good, however I don't like movies that don't change the scenery much.. sitting in a phone booth for 2 hours just seems a little.. boring to me. Kevin
  17. I still think a big airbag at least half the length of the runway would make a birdman landing doable. I have felt my GTI "stall" in flight after picking up speed and popping my wings not sure what my forward speed was like at the time though. was thinking about buying the timex gps watch pedometer which uses a gps strapped to your body to wirelessly talk to the watch your wrist and give you info like your forward speed, distance travled, etc.
  18. Yeah that is awesome news, but it just makes me cringe to think about the torturing they did to her.. how much of the broken legs, broken arm, gunshot wounds were done during the capture and how much of it was done during the torture :( she will probably have nightmares for many years.. such a crappy situation
  19. I saw his face on the tv as i was getting ready for work.. i was like "hey it's flyhi!" :)
  20. I think you'll have to break the one that is going to be set at raeford this weekend. :)
  21. would be nice, but if you go to the root of that webserver (cgrom.com) you'll find a less than professional site which has nothing to do with news reporting :)
  22. *lol* yeah it's amazing what they can do with computers these days, right?? because there is no way those wind things can just appear like that
