    Flying

BMIs teach the courses, it's up to them who they take up. Recommendations are 200 within the last 18 months or 500 total. I charge based off the birdman's recommended rates of: 30.00 ground school 10.00 wingsuit rental 20.00 bmi check dive + 2 jump tickets. Check out flybirdman.com calendar, dz.com calendar, and bird-man.com for locations and dates as well as instructors on birdman's website. Kevin
  2. Bill, Since I know you aren't one to just pull shit out of the air - was curious your thought process on coming up with "90%" for the gti's performance vs the s3... Kevin
  3. The one that went down WAS skydance's plane.. being ferried over. They hypothisize that the problem was with the fuel system that was jerry rigged on the outside of the plane to add for extra fuel. It happened at night so the pilot really couldn't see much anyway (as far as being able to see fuel flying out etc). Anyway that plane was skydance's, they have another on the way..
  4. interesting Uh.. a skydiver who doesn't know the "make or model" of his parachute?
  5. Just out of curiousity, when you do jump, do you go ask to see the qualifications of the jump pilot every time you get on a plane with a new pilot?
  6. I'll be heading down for flight school, was curious if anyone wants to rent a room :-) PM me Kevin
  7. My 2 cents. If I had a camera straped to my foot, I'd chance the full flight opening, rather than bringing my feet up and risking a d-bag or bridle strike and possible horseshoe. I've jumped foot mounts (not with a wingsuit) and I keep the camera well away from the deployment..... He is jumping a lipstick camera duct taped to his tennis shoe.. it really isn't an issue.
  8. Already made an animated gif out of it.. i'm re-coding a good bit and re-organizing the website to make things more logically organized
  9. What about a birdman specific aircraft that flys a totally seperate jumprun from everyone else? :-) They got enough planes laying around at rantoul to do this, right? Or hell have a "birdman only" load.. might not get as many jumps in but it'll be safer. kevin
  10. yeah i did, was just curious which one was the best and or easiest to do for a beginner. Probably hanging from the strut. The one the video shows.. Only because when you dive off backwards it cancels out some of the air speed and it's actually less stable than the poised. Kevin
  11. Did you check out flybirdman.com? step by step instructions and videos for that exit. Kevin
  12. ALLEGEDLY is a huge word. Rhino DNA is hard to mistake :)
  13. Saw This on America's Most wanted, they say he "enjoys skydiving" has anyone ever seen him?

    ROCKSTAR!

Now that you are a rockstar, you should get yourself SUMPOOSIE -- sorry couldn't resist.
  15. The owner posts here as gr8scott, i sent him an email with a link to this thread.
  16. Yeah Scott did, he was able to find a couple of skydivers out of the 300+ that had a spare reserve handle... and he isn't too bitter because evidentally TSA is going to pay for the damage...
  17. Is that your signature or some other reference to something?
  18. Oh yeah I had to take out a loan in my name to get her re-poed car back, i never saw that money again. Actually was still paying on the loan after we broke up. Argh!
  19. Wow, I didn't know you dated my ex too. Crazy! She must have a thing for guys named kevin. How much shit did you loose in the R'ship? I lost a sony digital camera (to the wall - when she threw it against it) and then a newer better sony digital camer I bought to replace the one she broke (it disappeared when I broke up with her). She threatened to call the police and file a report for domestic violence.. when that came out of her mouth I said see-ya! God is your ex's name jessie? :)
  20. Well it appears byron is about 70 miles (distance, not time) from davis, is that right?
  21. Early march.. either weekend of the 6th or the 13th not sure.. basically the week of the 6th. are they open during the week?
