The thought that jumps out to me in this whole discussion is that jumping with out an AAD at least once is a psychological improvement rather then tangible safety improvement

heh heh yeah I didn't say that I would need to have a reason to make one, but I am sure someone along the way had to provide a reason. I just wonder that that could have been.

I wonder what the reasoning was to even make a full auto pistol? Was it to prove the durability of the gun?

I think being a police officer it would be really tough not turning into an extremely paranoid person having to deal with the scum of society every day. It is definitely not the job for me. I am thankful there are people who step up to that challenge.

Glock 18c coooool full auto mmmmmmmm I have a Glock 22 and really love it. It would really cool to try the 18 or 18c. Even though I can't really see much practical use for it. I think it would a lot of fun to shoot.

I think the problem that is showing up now is that people seem to think that skydiving is safer then it actually is. Yes the gear and the planes are safer, but many of the risks are still the same. The yuppies expect the world to be a safe place and are shocked to realize that it isn't and want to sue whomever they believe is responsible. Life is dangerous. Now add more risk by jumping out of good airplanes with safe gear and less then perfect people controlling a certain amount of variables and fate controlling the rest, life becomes a lot more interesting in my opinion and more dangerous. If you can't accept your possibility of death and injuries with out having to find some one else to blame then don't jump.

Definitely not just for skydivers. In this age of sue everyone you can, people in general are not willing to take responsibility for their own actions and accept the risks involved in their choices. Everyone that jumps should be able to accurately asses the risks that they are taking by jumping out of "perfectly good airplanes" and accept the consequences of their actions. Whether those consequences be good or bad.

hmm My first rig was stolen from me by a couple of guys broke into my apartment. I can't imagine one of my friends actually stealing from me. That sucks man. At least you caught him. ps I am assuming that is a picture of the thief Right?

Are the prison terms and penalties too light these days?

"If you wish to deter crime, the best way is to increase the likelihood of being caught and convicted. The severity of the penalty is a distant second" That maybe true, but why spend the money on all the extras the inmates get. A rope and a tree is alot cheaper then 20 years on death row. -

I think the inmates in prison should just have the bare necessities and nothing else, other then a book of their choosing. They should also be doing Hard Labor and I mean really hard labor. Anyone convicted of murdor, rape, sodomy and pedophilia should be hung by their neck till they are dead dead dead. There is no possiblity of reform for these people. -

Hmmmm I would think cutting away the reserve would be the only choice if a hook knife was available. Just be sure to get the job done before dropping the hook knife! That is if the reserve is not in good working condition.

Salesmen that try to sell me some thing that I clearly don't want. If I want it I will ask for it. I don't need salesmen to tell me what I want or need. Salesmen in the mall that grab my arm thinking that is a good idea! They find out really quickly that I really hate them.

to hell with it you guys will probably be very upset to read this but its the way I see things. IF a dog that I owned were to bite me or anyone close to me or friends it would be dead within minutes of biting. A 45 in the back off the head solves its problem for good. I have no tolerance for dogs being aggresive towards anyone that is known to them. Strangers is a different matter. Dogs are not people they are animals. I have owned several dogs and have never had to shoot anyone of them. I have had to put down an injured puppy before.
