  1. I would get computer with a Core 2 Quad processor and at least 2 gig of RAM with Windows XP or 3 gig of RAM with Vista. XP can only use 2 gig of RAM max. I would format the computer and reinstall the OS to make sure you don't have anything on it you don't need. Make sure you have all the latest windows updates. Then install what ever video editing software you want. I would get Sony Vegas Pro 8 because it looks to be the best buy for what you get.
  2. NOAA does have an RSS feed. Look right under the City, State lookup field near the top left corner. http://www.nws.noaa.gov/
  3. People have trouble relating to Skydiving. It's not something that they could easily see themselves doing. They don't have any way to judge how diffucult a move is.
  4. I have no idea. It's just what I was told by Doc Lee.
  5. 4+ years ago and the FAI. At the same time CRW became CF. No. Although VRW should really be VFS to fit in with the rest... I heard that the FAI is calling VRW VFS now.
  6. umm Politician = Liar I am sorry that's not entirely true. Politician = Professional Liar Much more accurate.
  7. That chart says that the largest main you can put in a J2 that does not have airlocks or is cross braced (which the Sabre 2 is not either) is a 150 square foot canopy. It does not specify what the smallest main is that you can fit in it. Your 135 Sabre 2 will fit in it just fine, as others have pointed out.
  8. How is shooting 1080p more diffucult or different then shooting 1080i? btw I did a quick search for info on just one of the cameras you listed and quickly found that yes it does record in 1080p 30. It took me just a few seconds to find that. So tripleflip18, I don't know where you get your info from, but it is wrong.
  9. Just look for the green and yellow jumpsuit and the canopy with the John Deere logo on the bottom skin. Ya can't miss him.
  10. There might be a few freeflyers there on Friday. Most of us will be working Fri. Saturday we are going to be doing a bunch of hybrids.
  11. I think you will have to switch to SD to shoot 4:3
  12. I have been looking for a setting in the HC5 to have it crop to 4:3 when outputing SD. Is that even possible to do on the camera?
  13. It was most likely shot in HD. All HD is 16:9. When I hookup my HC5 to a 4:3 television it displays in letterbox 16:9.
  14. I wasn't trying to disprove his statment. I was just adding to it.
  15. The Iraqi militias didn't stop us from invading, did they? And we ARE still there. No kidding?! I didn't know that!
  16. Probably not too much different then what is going on in Iraq with their militias.
  17. It looks to me like the Mayor was frustrated because he couldn't expand the cemetary and was trying to make a point to the state. What do you think he should have done?
  18. Did you read the entire aricle? This law is a protest by the Mayor becuase he wasn't allowed to expand the cemetary. The "severe punishment" consisted of "The first dead person to come along, I'll send him to the state's representative," From what I read the Mayor wasn't taking the law seriously. He is just wanting to expand the cemetary.
  19. Thanks I don't think I would put together a skydiving video any longer then 30 mins(most likely less then that). I am glad I haven't bought Vegas Movie Studio yet. As it looks like Vegas Pro will be what I will need.
  20. How many minutes can you fit on a DVD when writing AVCHD to it? What would be my best option as far as easiest to work with? spend the extra cash and get Vegas Pro 8 or the much cheaper Vegas Movie Studio Pl. 8.0 and a third party software to convert to AVCHD Would I lose any quaility by going the cheaper route?
  21. I am happy with the HC5. I only have 20 jumps with it. All freefly mostly head down jumps with 2 VRW 4 way jumps so far. I plan on using it for Nationals this year. I want to be able to put together my year end video on a DVD for playback on a BD player. That will be my incentive to buy BD player.
