Oh I am sorry did I question the mysterious ways of God Almighty?! Should I be waiting to be struck by lightning?
-
The problem with not relying on your intellect and senses is that it opens you up to being fooled and tricked. Anything else is arbitrary at best. Relying on feelings is very unreliable. You feel that there is a god and you faith in that feeling, but you don't actually know that there is a god.

I am all for the death penalty. I just don't like people being on death row for 30 years. It should be limited to 1 year or less.
-
That is correct regarding my beliefs, but of course I can't answer for all atheists. Though if anyone told me that they know how it all began, I probably wouldn't believe them. So yeah, that description probably works for most atheists. This is one of those subjects where no one can be sure as no one has proof. Cool thank you.

Well it's kind of like tunnel rats, only better. Gravity Rats

Your questions assumes there is a "Maker". I don't know everything so I can't exactly answer your question throughly. What I do know is that I have never found any reason or evidence to show that there is a deity of any sort.
-
Wow there is a straight forward answer. No bullshit involved! Now just what question does that answer go along with?
-
Oh I get it. All the people I have talked to are crazy. Why don't you just come out and say it with out having to beat around the bush? All I know is from everything I have seen, read and heard from people is that deity worship is primarily fueled by fear. Either fear of death, eternal punishment or not getting some sort of prize for following the rules. Oh yeah and nearly every Christian I have talked to has their own definition of what a Christian is and says those that don't fit there definition is going to hell or will be punished by God.

At one time I tried talking to as many people about what they believed and why. Now I do my best to avoid the topic of religion. Many of the people I talked to about religion would get very upset when they asked me what I believe and I told them I didn't believe that there existed any god at all. They seemed to take my disbelief in god very personal and got really upset and angry. I don't understand why, I didn't give them any indication as to what my personal opinion of deity worship was. I was just wanting to know what they believed and why. So I can only base my opinions on my observations of people I meet and talk to.

Hey it's not even 10am and I have already pissed someone off! Guess you really have your panties in a bunch this morning. What I wrote was my personal observations, considering the number of Christians that want to know if I worry about going to hell since I don't believe in God.

I think the reason people believe in god or god's goes much deeper then just fear of hell or what ever their religion's punishment is. I think people believe in god because the are afraid of death and really don't want to believe that life will just end one day and also they have a strong urge to believe there is some purpose to their existence. They can't handle the thought that there isn't any existence after death or that life has no higher purpose. I prefer to live in the here and now. I don't want to spend my time worrying about what will happen when I die. I don't have any interest in participating in some fantasy world that makes empty promises.

No kidding! I was driving home from the dropzone last weekend and pulled up next to a Ferrari at a stop light and glanced over. The guy was getting a blow job from a blonde. It must be a factory option? Right?

Yeah they funneled something awful. Nearly yanked my arms out my shoulder sockets! btw that is a two belly and one hanger hybrid with two head down stingers forming a round with the belly flyers.
-
When you sitfly you need to have constant pressure on your feet. If you relax your legs they will come up and over your head.
-
but then it's really hard to hold the camera steady!
-
Yeah but they are not safe from crazy Scots wielding claymores!!! It doesn't mention anything about claymores or any other types of swords.
-
Why do you think you should get two magazines you didn't pay for?
-
Their planes, their instuctors, their rules, their decision not yours. You don't really have a choice, but to follow their rules. Don't worry about it and try again next weekend. With your number of jumps. I think they made the right decision.

Do you really see that much of a quality difference? I really question this whole line of reasoning. Do you make money from online video? Why do you care so much about the quality of youtube video? I don't take online video very seriously. Right now I consider all streaming video to be of low quality. If it weren't it would take too long to download. I wouldn't waste my time worrying about the quality of youtube video.
-
Do you really only have 96 jumps? If so you need to concentrate more on your skydiving then video. The quality of your video will pretty much line up with the quality of your flying. It won't matter if you are videoing in 30p or 60i. If you can't get the shot the 30p won't make it look any better.

I have uploaded some video to Skydivingmovies.com and posted two videos to my skydivernetwork.ning.com page. Mostly I just master DVD's for my own enjoyment and for friends who are in the video. I am currently doing all my editing in HDV and then rendering them to whatever format I need. I am not very concerned about the quality of the video that is uploaded to the internet and much more concerned about the quality of my video when viewed from DVD. When I consider what video camera to use for skydiving, I was mostly concerned with how reliable the camera is and the quality of the video is secondary. Most of my video is team video and the rest is just fun jumps. It would really suck to have my camera break down two weeks before Nationals. Sony cameras are the most reliable cameras out there. Every video guy I have ever talked to says this and it has been proven true in my experience.

Right now I have a HC5 and don't have a need to modify my current CamEye2. I expect my next camera to be solidstate. I figured by then there would be something similar to the CamEye2. I don't need or want any extra features that the CamEye doesn't have, so this will make my eventual transition to solidstate that much easier.
-
Wow!! That is soo cool. I am glad it is that easy to modify the CamEye to use the Sony AV port.

Your only reasoning for using 30p is for publishing on the internet. I don't shoot any video with the sole intention of putting it on the internet. All my video is now in 1440 by 1080 60i. I still don't see enough advantage in 30p to make me go out of my way for it. From the way you post you are obviously a video expert.
-
Why is 30p so important to you? I don't think 30p is all that much better the 60i.
