It doesn't look like you could add a wide angle lense to it.

PD doesn't make a 150 sqft reserve. The 143 is as as close as they get to a 150 and pretty much flys the same as any 150sqft reserve. I wouldn't consider that to be smaller then a 150 sqft main.

Re: [The111] Fatality - Texas (Spaceland) - 12 March 2008

I find this the most disturbing part of your post. Skydiving does not compare to rollercoasters or theme parks. Skydiving is not a safe sport. Minor mistakes can result in serious injury or death, despite all safety precautions. -
how many actual 3-way teams are there out there now?
beowulf replied to genfreefly's topic in Freeflying
At Skydive Dallas we have Team Vibe VRW and Team Evol that are currently training for Nationals. -

beowulf replied to genfreefly's topic in Freeflying
I can only speak for Skydive Dallas. As far as I know there are no three way Freefly teams training in Dallas for Nationals. We do have two VRW 4 Way teams currently training for Nationals. Sorry. It looks like three way freefly teams are not very popular anymore. -
Here is another TechNet post that explains in as easy terms as possible.

Here is an explaination that I found on the MS TechNet Forums.

Could you send me anything you have found regarding this. Here is what I found on MS.com. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888137/en-us

I am still researching the memory issue. Techincally Windows XP does support up to 4 Gig of memory. At least that is what Microsoft has in their documentation. But there is an issue with XP seeing more then 3 gig. I briefly read through the issue on MS website. I need to read some more about it. Vista had no problem with seeing all 4 gig.

It just has the built in video card. Intel G33/G31 I don't think I really need a 400 dollar video card for video editing. I think those fancy cards are really not that much help for video editing. They are more directed toward 3D processing for high end gaming. "Imovie"? are you wanting to know if they have Vegas Pro 8 for Mac's? If so I am pretty sure they don't, but DSE would be better able to answer that question.

I have now just bought a new computer specifically for editing HDV. So I thought I would write a review of my HDV editing experience. Hardware Sony HDR-HC5 Dell Inspiron 530 Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4 ghz 4 gig RAM 320 gig harddrive with a bay for adding another harddrive later on. 1394 port Software Windows Vista Home Premium Windows XP Pro Sony Vegas Pro 8 Sony DVD Architect Pro 4.5 Notes I bought this computer through the DellOutlet.com and got a really good dea. It was a "Scratch and Dent" computer, but I have yet to find any scratchs or dents.

I think it would be counter productive for them to be angry about past or even current racial discrimination. They would be better off by not acknowleding it and concentrating on improving themselves. To acknowledge racial discrimination and get angry over it would only give those who discriminate power to manipulate them through the anger. Just my opinion.

At first I didn't understand your question at all. I don't feel any religous persecution. I don't have any religon to feel persecuted over. I don't think that any religon or religous people are targeting or have targeted specifically athiests. Atheism has no central organization that I know of.

1.333 Wingloading with 160 jumps....
beowulf replied to markovwgti's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Under a smaller canopy you would have had even less time to deal with it. Things happen faster under heavily loaded canopys. -
I am now only shooting 16:9 on an HC5. I also don't do any tandem video or AFF video. Just VRW 4 way team video and freefly fun jumps. I don't expect to ever go back to 4:3. I want all my video to be HD 1080i.

What features do you want when buying a camcorder?
beowulf replied to sky-pimp's topic in Photography and Video
Yeah it would be nice to have a strap that is easy to detach and reattach. I rarely use my video camera for anything other then skydiving. -

You already get that on current models. I easily removed the handstrap on my HC5 with the help of a pair of scissors. -

Everyone makes mistakes. It's just better to make mistakes under a light wingloading. The key is to be alive to learn from those mistakes. So you live and you learn. -
Very interesting. I have come across the occaisonal "Christian" that was totally offended and upset that I consider myself an atheist, so I can relate to what he has written.

Well if you read the post...he was taking a SWOOPING class.he started a 90 degree front riser turn way too low...And he broke himself while swooping..i wont be doing anything of that sort for a long long long time...swoooping and coming in for a straight landing nice and slow are 2 different things...thanks Hey remember this post?! You don't necessarily have to be trying to swoop to fuck yourself up under canopy. It's better to learn canopy control under a lightly loaded canopy. You just fucked up and spun your canopy up. You might want to reconsider your canopy choice. Good luck -
yah know I was really on the fence about this thread. I wasn't sure if you were serious or this was just a joke. Now I think you are serious. Hmm from what you have written it looks like you are going to do what you want to do and ignore all the good advice to not downsize so quickly. Good luck.

I don't really have much to add to what DSE said, all I am interested in anymore is HD in as high quality as you can get in a small form factor and light weight. Like DSE said tape is pretty much dead and solid state recording is the future. I currently have an HC5 and don't ever see myself going back to SD video. My next camera will most likely be a solid state camera. I prefer not go with first gen cameras so I didn't get the CX7. I prefer to let others be the guinea pigs. Oh and at less $1000 would nice. -
hmm how do you do something that is dangerous with low experience safely? Maybe you should think about that and reconsider your canopy choices.

Be sure to wear a video camera and get at least two other people to video your landing from different perspectives of course.
