Why is static line a dying discipline?
robskydiv replied to kmills0705's topic in Safety and Training
The "Static Line" method may be more intimidating to the student because the student won't have anyone holding onto him/her once on freefall. Maybe it's not as appealing as AFF. -

Is it lame to match your canopy to your container?
robskydiv replied to HeatherObscura's topic in Gear and Rigging
Well Kim, your rig is gorgeous and so are you. But to answer the original question, It's perfectly fine to make everything match. Variety is the spice of life and it's cool to see all of those different colored rigs, canopies, jumpsuits at the dropzone. But remember, black and white go with everything. -
How about afterburners?

Hey Steve, I remember seeing the "JFK warfare Center" written on top of a repel tower in Ft. Sherman, Panama. I believe 7th SFG ran that school. Harry

You don't have a reserve in it right now? I don't think that the Racer is a BASE jumping rig.

Nursing is a field that pays well. Have her pay for as many jumps as possible.

I think that KimEmmerson made some great points. Take some moments to think of all of the things you liked about your friend, grieve for awhile, but come out of it and begin to enjoy life again.

Nice vid Mykel, thanks for the link. Great job of teaching also. Did she have some tunnel time?

What song occupies your mind on the ride to altitude? Mine used to be Cocaine by Eric Clapton. Lately though, an old Army cadence has been surfacing: Halo, Halo Infantry! Queen of Battle follow me. Infantry's the life for me, 'Cause nothi'n in this world is free...

Well friend, some men may not care about the women they choose as a mate. Others are far more careful. Take me for instance. I dated a real hottie when I was in high school. Thought about getting serious. But when I met her scaggly (extremely thin) looking brother, I got to admit, it gave me pause. Subconciously I didn't want to have a son with that kind of build.

Very nice.

Jump Tickets, how high before you quit?
robskydiv replied to CMiller's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Great question brother. I used to tell myself that when lift tickets rose to $20.00, that I would quit jumping. However, I landed a better paying job and now I don't know what my ceiling would be. But please be positive. If we can find an alternate fuel source for cars, why not aircraft? -
