It’s almost time for one of my favorite boogies of the year. The Falling Gators’ Collegiate Boogie at Skydive Palatka. It’s being held February 24-26th. Pre-registration is $25 (open in Jan), registration at the event is $30 & non skydiver registration is $15. This includes food for every meal starting Friday night & going to Sunday morning. It also includes beer Friday & Saturday night. It covers bringing in the Skyvan for Saturday and Sunday in addition to Skydive Palatka’s own Caravan & 182. It also covers all of the wonderful organizers (to be announced soon). But wait there’s more! You also get a wonderful t-shirt to commemorate your boogie experience! All included in the low boogie fee! This is probably the cheapest boogie you will go to all year! And I get asked this every year, “do I have to be a college kid?” NO! I've got a manual. I love it. I don't like automatics. It doesn't really feel like driving. It's more like directing a vehicle than driving. And I HATE switching back to an automatic. I drive my roommates car a lot and I always end up hitting the brakes in the first minute of driving with my left foot trying to find a clutch Then I remember its not there.

I HATE nay LOATHE winter or cold of any kind really. It makes me miserable! And I think 60 is cold. But that's why I live in Florida. That evil season doesnt exist here

Also, keep in mind with the not having a car thing. It will probably be easier to find a ride from Tampa Int to Zhills than from Orlando or Jax to Sebastian. I dont think there's another major airport closer to Seb than those.

like nwflyer said, do a forum search. You'll find all your info in those. There are pro's and con's to both ways. Read them all and make your own decision. It's your gear, so it's up to you. Personally I put my rig in a carry on bag & take it on board with me. As for where to go: I love Sebastian but they get a lot of wind that time of year IMO. but they are a LOT of fun. you'll probably hit one of their boogies that time of year. The TDS luau & Becca's Bootie Boogie are both around then. & they also usually have a bunch of smaller boogies too. I also love Zhills. It's where I jump now. Haven't been here through March though. but it's always fun times on a normal weekend so I'm sure March will be fun too.

Irish car bombs! I drank those on my 22nd. (not 21st I know but still) I fell into a bouncer that night. knocked him over & still managed not to get kicked out OR have all the drinks that are just fun to order. but be prepared to bring recipes. Not all the fun ones are regulars in bartenders' menus. Drinks/shots I suggest: red headed slut, dirty girl scout, a french whore, a slippery nipple, a screaming orgasm. Nothing like asking a hot bartender for a "screaming orgasm"

Lakeland and ocala FL For Lakeland area either Zhills or Skydive Tampa Bay are close by ...depends on the atmosphere you want. Both great places. Ocala area maybe Palatka or Deland. Deland is actually pretty far from Ocala IMO. Palatka would be closest for there. & Skydive Lake Wales is also an additional option for the Lakeland area. oh & welcome!
