nope, pisa is no more, i used to be a dealer for them, now it's aerodyne.
-
kinda, PISA is no more. they are now areodyne sysyems. and there is also a french company that is no more, but are now aerodyne technologies. and then there is still aerodyne research. they have all come together with all the designers to make some really cool shit. and unfortintally, this also means the hornet, heatwave, and tempo are no longer made. but now aerodyne has the vision, pilot, and smart to replace those, and they also have a new canopy called the amax. the vision is kinda like a heatwave, and solo kinda like a hornet, but both better. look at www.aerodyne-int.com it tells all about the new canopies. later

well, i have never heard is safer, or what ever in the container, or that it's safer to the bottom flap. i do know that it is easier to pack on the bottom flat, but why do you say it's safer to be in the container, if you think about it, there were some problems with that, and almost all the rigs on the market had a recall done (ok, maybe not all, but like 5 or 6) later

i wouldn't call it ground hungry, or say your a bad canopy pilot. 7 cell canopies have high sink rate than 9 cells. but i guess for you, it could be ground hungry. for me, a ground hungry canopy is one that has a long recovery arc. like a stilleto, or stectre don't have long recovery arc's compared to a crossbraced, or crossfire. but 1 person's definition of "ground hungry" can always be different than someone else's. later

i can think of 1 dz that use fully elliptical canopies. the safire is considered "fully elliptical" it may not be by much, but it is. or the omega. the sabre 2 *i think* is "fully elliptical". and skydive chicago used safires, and now have sabre 2's. i can't think right now, but i know other dz's use safires, and omega's. hell, skydive america has a diblo (spelling??) for a student canopy in one rig. now, i'm not saying that i totally agree, but i also don't totally disagree. like maybe after they have like 15 jumps or so, put them on a lightly loaded safire or something. and about the cobalt for a student canopy, um, i wouldn't put one of my students under one, at least until i could jump one at a wing loading a stundent would, or see how they perform out in the field. just my opinion though. later

ya, they do have great customer service. just wondering though, why do you want it set up like this?? is there any saftey reason behing this, or just because you find it easier to pack?? i'm just curious. later

damn man, i didn't even know he was a f@$^ing sicko like that. that's just wrong. later

ya, there were. i kinda know jimmy from when i was pretty young, from anderson his dad's old dz. and then i met hunter at the richmond boogie, and have jumped with both of these guys. but they were doing coach jumps and all that stuff, so i didn't get to jump with either one before i left. oh well, maybe next time i come down. like spring break or something.

i had the black and blue wings. my vx is neon yellow, with blue crossbraces, and a blue right end cell. dakine rags jump suit, black and kinda redish flowers on it, but faded pretty bad. blue bonehead helmet, all scratched to hell. does that describe anyone you saw. later

oh cource it makes sence. the tempo is a great reserve, i'm not saying it isn't. but it is a old design. as is the raven, and even the pd reserves. i'm not saying these reserves are crap, but were all designed a long time ago. the new reserves are much better, much better flare, glide, all around better. and is under tso c-23d, as to the old tempo under 23c. i know the guy who helped design it, and did the drop test (if you look on the site, dominic hayhurst, under staff). later

there great to jump if you only have like 8 people in them though, but 10 is just too much. that would be kinda cool. that's why i really like doing hop'n pops if noone is around to go freefly with, just to fly my canopy. ya, i'm kinda shy i guess when it comes to someone to jump with at a new dz. if i'm not invited, i'll usally do a hop'n pop later

i may of run into ya, i was there in the morning, only made like 1 jump out of the otter. when they started to run the porter, i got very uninterested in jumping because it's so cramped in there with 10 people. we were there for like another hour or hour and a half. and it got a bit windy, and since the people i was with don't freefly, i would have to belly fly, and the only real fun of the jumps would be landing, and it's not as much fun when it's windy . later

i would of said something about being a dz.commer, but i didn't realize you were too, or hardly anyone i meet, i just forget to mention it to see if they are a dz.commer too. oh well later
-
i was there this past like thursday and friday. but i may of run into ya, i did meet a couple people. later
-
well, i was just saying i met him, i think, had had no clue, just kinda stupid. but if you want a prize, um, well not from me. later
-
and didn't even know it. well, i think i did. i met a guy named ray at deland, and had a velocity and a vector 3, like his profile says. and had just gotten back from PIA, just like he had. and i remembered the picture he took (or you if your reading this) and was put in skydiving magazine. and i saw someone (i am only assuming him) showing someone else the pic, and saying they took it. and i just didn't put 2 and 2 together. so rdutch, do you have a blue and silver V3, with like the split pattern. later
-
just wondering, why do you want to take a step down in performance?? otherwise, i have seen a spectre jumped at like 1.7, and the guy liked it a lot. but i can't say from personal experience, i have never jumped one. later

i'm not sure yet. i have a cd with all of the prices one it, but i have to get over to my moms to get it back from her. i will let ya know tomorrow if someone else doesn't post about them first. but, i'm not sure if they are completly done yet, they may still have some work to get finished, but i'm not sure, they could be done already. later

it will retail at like 1600 and some change. it comes standard with stainless steel, and hip rings, custome colors, everything. the only 3 options are a hacky, freefly pud, or a soft reserve pud. comes starndard with everything else. later

well, i really don't think there would be an "average" swoop for different canopies. there are soooo many different varibles, type, size, wingloading, type of hook/carve. but what i kinda sounds like your asking is, am i getting decent swoops under my canopy, and looking at your profile, i would say yes. the crossfires won't go as far as the crossbraced canopies, but will go quite a ways. hell, i've seen many times people swooping longer on a crossfire than a crossbraced because they can't handle the crossbraced canopies, but the "conventinal" canopy, they can swoop really well. i'm not too sure how far i've been going on my swoops, but i did get some compliments on them last week down in florida, so i don't know. later
-
to say first, i am not sure about this at all, this is just what may of happened. they could of re tso'd and gotten higher standards, so then it would be approved to hold more weight. later

Do you stretched before you Jump?
skygod7777 replied to flyer299's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
ya, what weid14 said. other than that, there fine. do the container your using fit you very well??? if not, you may want to think about this, if you get one that fits well, it may be easier to grab it. just a though later -
yes, yes they do. i can't say that i'm sad to see them go.
-
i didn't see it on there web page, but i do remember reading somewere that if the sabre 2 was selling well enough they were going to stop making the original sabre. but i didn't know about the pd 7 and 9 cell. is there really a need for the canopies though?? they are all really old designs. later
