The Unofficial World Record for the "Largest SCR Ceremony" (No one has claimed otherwise) was set at SkyFest 03, 2003 with 23 maggots on their knees!!! We have video.. This idea started at the first SF 01, 2001 which has now become one of my favorite parts of this event. Realisng your PC probably did more for you than you think. It cleared the horseshoe and allowed for a clean cutaway and clean air for the reserve. (If I understand you right). You did the right thing, (other than jumping that set up, like you said). Good for you by keeping your head on straight. Blue skies.

I will have some very qualified people for you to do some 2 ways with. Your SCR will be questionable, with out an A. Therea are several other factors for you, such as traffic with all the aircraft and jumpers. SkyFest averages 2500 jumps in three days to give you an idea. Spaceland has a great student landing area but there are many things we need to be concerned about for you. Great learning opportunity, jumping or not! The only time I have seen a problem with wearing on the outside was my dumb_ss. brother. He wore it loose and when he went to pull, the hackey tucked itself underneath the belt, he tried twice and dumped the reserve. I believe he had around 6000 jumps at the time. I gave him a hard time about that one. So I guess my point is make sure they are snug around the waist.

Yes We broke it last year with a 12 way during SkyFest at Spaceland. We are doing it again this year. We call it the 2nd generation. We actually had 2nd and 3rd generations on the dive. This may be a bit different but it is only for the Kids of skydivers. We are going for a 20 way this year. Come join us!!

When I jumped mirage I thought they were great. People gave me a hard time about em, but I didnt care. They are really nice compared to the bungie, especially when some one decides to "snap" it, the fancy pants dont hurt like the bungie. Over all they were fine. Didnt care for the lateral support, not that affective, compared to "cut in" laterals. Blue skies

For as much as the original topic has been discussed , you obviously have not been reading the specifics in the postings....Quote You my friend just proved our entire point. Awareness, YOU dont have any. I did read the post and I am one of the first one's that commented on low jump numbers wearing a camera and being unsafe. Its not the equipment it is the Skydiving skills, and one of the most important skills we can have is awareness, and it only comes with time. You dont have that yet. In another 500 jumps you will be laughing at yourself (for thinking this way), just like we all did as we progressed. Please stop giving advice, go make a ton of jumps, and hopefully you will be around long enough to give something back to the sport. Blue skies to you.. I now join Canuck, I'm done with this.

I read those thats why I posted here. I totaly agree, and I dont mean to dismiss those with 2-300 jumps, those are good numbers especially if done in a short time. Feeling confident to save our lives and trusting our equipment comes pretty quick, but awareness tends to come with time. And I believe no one will ever "master" skydiving. There are those "greats" but I bet if you ask them and they truly are "greats" they will agree that they are still learning. Just remember you are responsible for you and your head must be on a swivle ALL the time. My mother always said " Skydiving requires you to be 100%. 100% of the time." That is so true, we all get complacent with experience, I know I have, and it has cost me an injury and nearly cost me my life on a separate occasion. And hell I grew up with this stuff burned into my head, yet I am guilty.

Saw a double fatal. 2 years ago trying to get COOL Vid. They were doing fly by's up high under canopy, and the slider interfered with the camera, once cleared it was too late. Both gave right hand input, thus swinging the bodies to the left. They hit body to body and were killed instantly at 8k. Lost two good people to Cool Vid. To add to this, I think people are grabbing cameras way to soon. I mean really 2-300 jumps and we call ourselves experienced???? Please, if you must put a camera on your head,, keep one eye looking around you.. The sky will always be there waiting for you, take your time, dont let the Heavans get you first. Be carefull all!

Don't forget that your slot is covered as a winner and video is provided, not to mention the "all important cause" for the event. I know what you mean about getting a Patch. We have been doing this for the last four years, I even sell the tickets.... I want my Patch
