NO! but I did send the tower pic to parachutist. And the words were visible, except you had the magazine open, unlike the other shots where they are closed. If printed mirage will get a freebee..LOL -

Proabably just about straight up...... -
Gimme a break, the sun was in my eyes, wearing my glasses, cupping the led screen so i could see, holding a notebook and the worst part, I only had one beer all day. Maybe I should have stood on one leg, one arm up asking "can you hear me now?"

I believe he just took these . . . He is referring to the Oshkosh team I mentioned in the first post, damn you are just to busy hijacking instead of reading eh?

one with the jet engine? That is horrible, I met them (father and son) seemed to be very interesting people. Is the son alive? J

I hear you Chuck. This is a hard one for me as well. I have known Beezy pretty much most of my life, well he rembered me when I was a toddler. Yet it is the last seven years that he and I really became friends. I used to help him with his ad's and dealer programs, as a matter of fact his last ad's were ones I designed with him and SF in mind, especially the thank you ad. He always called me when he needed some info and I ws always honored to help. I will never forget a visit to CSC a few years ago working for PD. He wanted to try the Katana I had with me, he of course had his canopies. I said hell no Beezy, I know what you are going to do, a high altitude Hop N Pop then chop the damn thing!! This was when CSC was doing the Tandem record by dropping 20 at once (oh you were there, werent you the only one that didnt get out?) (the only smart one). Anyway, we hooked the Katana up in his rig, and before boarding he asked me for a pin check. I said uh ooh hang on you are missing something. I turned around and grabbed my duct tape. I wrapped his cutaway handle so he could not use it. It was and awful tape job, really noticeable. He walked to the loading area, ( I followed just to see the reaction). Not one person noticed, not one! It was amazing, so before he loaded we removed the tape checked the handle and up he went. Of course folks noticed as i was removing the tape. Love ya Beezy A few pics at SF 06, not sure what he was doing to Mel in FF, Beezy is at the bottom of the shot, in the series of photos his head is below the Bananna the whole skydive. Do you find it odd that Chris and Beezy passed on the same weekends? Blue Skies

Ok now I may have to shoot someone... That was my first thought. I have been mistaken before.... But still, its a historical intersection in skydiving. I was told many years ago that Sabre St. was named after the canopy. But, now I must consider the source. It would make more sense to be a jet, wouldnt it? So you obviously know where it is (epecially with my other post's). So, off to strangle someone....................... -

Not even a guess yet? Ok scratched the lousy hint.... Thanks Jim.... -
I was told it was to be in November Issue's, but nothing? Oh well, not sure why? There is another announcement comming real soon! This will be the one "not to miss" event, I promise!! Iknow, doesnt do any good. Oh Chris, Davis Field was selling beer this weekend during the Blue Angels so yeee haaa!!
-
Yes sir, thats actually why I went, to see the layout of the Air show. I had to go to Muskogee and Telequa(sp?) every year in July for Nationals. Mom was chief judge, hated getting up early to leave from Dallas to Ok. but loved it when we got there!! Ahh the memories
-
So . . . Why don't you find someone that can organize one there. Did you get my response to your E-mail? Yes, you dont like my spelling? Did I hijack my own thread?
-
Shots of the Angels Not the best camera, and the f%^$# were moving fast and low!! Took these in Muskogee Ok. This is a huge Airport! 1500 acres This would be a great place for a boogie!!!
-
From the Blue Angels Air Show in Muskogee Ok. this weekend. Well could you do it? The never got above 400', inside loops, hammer heads, rolls etc... In Oshkosh a few years ago I saw a father and son team with a jet engine mounted underneath a pitts (Airtwardo can correct if not a Pitts). That was an awesome sight. The son just walking around on dad's wings. Maybe delpoy from the top wing? Inverted with nose down, bet you would miss the tail

Which DZ`s in your state accept Skyride?
upndownshop replied to Thanatos340's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
There is a dz in texas that i was planning on spending a load of money before the game on jumping. Fuck that, i am not supporting no skyride affiliation. So, what dz's in Texas do not support skyride so we can plan accordingly Hey Asshole! I told you a month ago, go to SD Aggieland, I can probably get you a cheap room at the Marriot. Was that mid November? -

One might say that and how it represents other various challenges. Leaving for Muskogee in 1 hour to see the layout of the Blue Angels air show at Davis field. -

Jay (note the correct spelling of your name) This statement is correct in regards to Skyride, Dallas does take it. I remember that now, you may add them to your list. Thanks Airgump J (note correct spelling of my name) -

Texas Skydive Spaceland SD Dallas I think they use them but not sure. -
I would imagine the overall cost would be quite a bit higher... additionally the advantage of handing a DVD to a customer is that they can stick the disk into a DVD player just about anywhere and show off their jump whereas with a flash drive some computer skills are necessary. but that's just my opinion/thoughts on that idea... Thats what I am looking for, thoughts etc... which those two I have considered. The cost is one I can work with, the convenience of playing is the one I cant help. But I keep thinking, it wont scratch, or the possibility of not playing on certain dvd players, and easier to share photos with friends etc..... If it the video was put on the flash player, could it be opened with any player? Would it have to be saved in some generic file type to ensure that, sort of like anyone can open a .jpg??
-
So then a 1gig usb flash drive would be plenty? Would there be an advantage to using flash drives rather than DVD's to hand to the customers? Would flash drives be an advantage to camera men, less work, maybe no re-burns of DVD, etc... Any other pro's or con's to flash drives. I am playing with an idea so any input would be great, and thanks for your help thus far. J

Can you experts tell me how large an average tandem video file would be? then the average amount of space for digital pics and how many you normally shoot? So I am looking for total space required on a DVD for video and photos. Any help would be appreciated.. J

Hey Terry FYI SunPath has been doing Demo tours with complete rigs for years. They have invested a ton of money doing so, having various harness and containers available to cover most body sizes. I believe they have four rigs in Europe as well still. I personally took 12 to 18 demo rigs at a time on the road for the last 3.5 years. Hitting over 60 DZ's and events during that time? All equipped with PD canopies. Of course I retired from SP a couple of months ago. Usually I would end my 5or6 month tour by Nov1st and the rigs would then stay in Florida thru the winter. I would usually suggest calling Sun Path and see what they have. Occasionally we would ship systems out. UUPT (RWS) Has atleast 4 systems, Aerodyne has a couple the last time I saw them. The Skydive Store has been on tour with two Javelin, a Mirage, Vector and a Skyhook cutaway rig. Louis Tomassy(sp?) travels with the Vortex and their line of canopies as well. The rigs are out there, but there really isnt a "Demo" program like PD has for canopies. It just isnt cost effective. Larger events are the best place to find complete demos. just thought I would share. J
