  1. Here it is: SkyFest bwaaaahhhh I know I know, Lee is barking right now....Dammit Skrimmey, cant you say anything else
  2. I have to agree with the others about 182 DZ's. They are the back bone of our sport and probably always will be. In my travels I believe that the 182 Dz's produce more students (thus increasing our numbers) than the turbine DZ's. Dont get me wrong I love the larger AC but in the 80 DZ's I have been to in the last 5 years the 182 seem to be more productive. In the sense of % of tandems/ AFF that stay in the sport. JUst my opinion from my travels and time in sport. Im suprised, unless I missed it but Mullins should be on folks list, one of my favorites.
  3. Hmm If there was a category for best thread killer...... Im pretty good at even killing my own....
  4. I have to agree with Terry, I have never heard of that! I mean hand deployed reserves was a surprise as well, but.....damn Those look like the size of a small stratostar! Hell I bet they could land a child safely they are so big.... This sport will never cease to amaze me and the imagination that comes with it. Thanks for posting
  5. Well that sucks, except PAC doesnt mind. And I think I know why it wasn't a $7015.00 shirt. I beleive they were giving those out at WFFC the first year there when you jump it? Oh wait, I guess its a $7020.00 shirt.. LOL J
  6. NONE! Cant stand em? Which is odd because I like the type of music. I think ie was some show that they said the Stones had a trained monkey for their opening act in their early days. They also said the monkey got more on chores than they did. Which wouldn't surprise me even today..LOL
  7. Hey Congrats! Do they not cut the back of the shirt out any more? Lost mine at 14 in a 236, then another at 16 in our C172. That was a fun one, my father jumped out of it, so my solo was also my fist time as a jump pilot Way to go!
  8. Nicely done! I didnt even think I was watching a commercial. Very nice! So tell me, may be a dumb question but I assume the reserve is square, and any specific brand? the ole belly mount, well at least it has a pilot chute...
  9. Thank you! See people...thats how its done, no smart ass comments about how old I am. Just a good ole congrats!!
  10. When I was at Sun Path I had to look up some paperwork in the archives, I think iit was from 93. The price of the rig was 680.00 retail, I noticed the price of the hackey.....30.00 Funny, the rig has trippled since then but the hackey remains the same....
  11. I dunno..they got lost somewhere. If you find them, please return them to ME. I miss the $3 days. $3.00 shit! were you jumping off a ladder cause there were no airplanes yet? I just could not resist the opportunity!
  12. During SkyFest we average 16 LO's on hand each year to cover everyones needs all the way down to 2 ways. Some are big name jumpers some are not, hell one was even named Bigun. There are alot of good events out there that can cover your needs, just keep your head on a swivel and try not to be put on dives you may not be ready for yet. We will be announcing dates and location very soon for 2008 so I hope to see you there. Be well J
  13. [url] Hey Travis, Lyle Presse has two of them they are a at least 4 years old that I know of. I think Zing nailed most of it for care. I believe they also liked a spot in the tank where they could "hide". And crickets were their main course, I used to have to pick some up for him when he was out of town, yuk! When boxman got his, it was cool watching their colors change so drastically in a short time. Good luck and tell everyone I said hello. J
  14. so ill give ya $50.00 and you pay shipping??? LOL

  16. So, all in all I cant use my DT tower as an external harddrive for my laptop which requires nothing but a usb cable? humph! I'll stick to skydiving gear, apparel, and boogies....this computer crap is a money pit..LOL
  17. Hell man, if a blind man can jump from an airplane in 1967 and land on the DZ with no radio (true story) why cant I do this? My first hookturn was on a night jump too!!! Whats next?
  18. Oh no problem.......pretty she is! Damn now you have asked me to turn off the TV to... yup figured that out now, and hell i can make it too. thanks for the help, I understand the show. Tuck on! J
  19. Might as well so it will stop me from hijacking J's thread. naah go get tucked!!.. I mean that in the nicest sort of way....it didnt look right after i typed it. hey, when did dz get the redlines and right click ability for spell check? Im going to wear out my right button LOL
  20. ok i understand the crossover, if i only want to pull from the desktop thru the laptop does it need to be crossover, can i use a regular Ethernet cable? hell maybe ill just try it and leave you folks alone.....
  21. stores are closed, motivated now, and i like a challenge. I may know what it is, and I probably have one...I just dont know the correct name for it. freakn google bound lol
  22. for the limited individuals like myself,,,,, crossover newtwork cable not familiar with that... is that an rj45 or one of those usb cables with the smaller cable end than the standard usb? if it is just a usb does it matter where i hook it in the DT? if it matters the DT is not on the internet and I dont need it to be. I think I follow the workgroup part of your answer..
  23. Now that would be nice eh? But really, why cant i use my DT as an external "hardrive" for my laptop? Would a simple usb cable do it? Where would it go in the DT? Maybe Ill just poor a drink
  24. My desktop monitor crashed! I have my laptop. Can I hook my DT tower to my laptop and retrieve data? I have a switch that I never installed, but I think I should have before the monitor went out on the DT.. Any help would be appreciated...
