I must do more boogies,, every time i turned around I had beer (good beer too, and I dont care for beer)in my cooler. Funny thing was I never bought any? And when I went to pack up, there was this funny jar of water. Took a sip and it wasnt so funny anymore. LOL Thanks to all!! They could make it work and here is how. How many west coast skydivers would like to go to skyfest?? Ok, sign up here, put down a non-refundable deposit for your roundtrip ticket and the jet leaves this day and comes back this day at these times. The charge for the roundtrip could be less, way less than a commercial flight. So you get skydivers over to a boogie they might not have been able to make, you get the jet there as well. Question is will it make money there? Million dollar question right there. Sell enough jump tickets for the AC owner to be happy prior to the event. Then fill it with W Coast jumpers for ferry. That should do it. I do have a C130, AN2, DC9, DC3, Pitts...hmmm what else?, that is much closer to S Carolina if anyone cares.

I could not agree with you more!! Looking back on my logbook today it was 12 jumps I got in (3 of those were FREE) and everyone seemed to enjoy the event like nothing before. The vendors, dz, set up was just GREAT!!

Yes. With avatars. Doesn't work too well for some people who change their avatars often. Hmmmm, that gives me an idea. What if there was just a spot for a sticker that the person could printout their latest avatar? Different inks & label brands could be tested to find the one that will stick until peeled off and leave no residue. Damm now the printing scientist in me wants to go play.

Here is a bummer, I drove to town to get a few things since there is no one here, bought a previously viewed movie at CVS, thinking I could let the movie play in the bunkroom while I get ready for a closing meeting later this afternoon. So i set everything up, bring all my office items into the bunk room, go to put the disc in my laptop, remove the plastic from the dvd case, and guess what? No movie!! So we finished unpacking, re organizing and re loading my car last night at about 10:30 pm (thanks Pops and Roxi). I just need to figure out how to get my ice chest and suitcase in it now... But its Tuesday and NO ONE is here! Well except the table and tent folks. Sitting here on the deck because I cant get internet in the AC bunk room. Have a little shade but can barely see the screen. No staff, no jumpers and no PD BLADE!! HellFish owes ME A BLADE!!! We know you have it!!! I will be happy to send you my shipping address so it will be there when I get home. Or............registration might be a bit pricey next year for your group! Only the sound of the tent poles banging around and being loaded in the truck. The dz is left with piles of broken chairs, $80.00 wallmart tents, a bicycle, bags of trash(thanks for collecting it piling it up folks!) but I can still hear the sounds of people, props and parachutes opening in my head. Over all the DZ is clean, you guys really did a great job of cleaning up after yourselves, I am sure the DZ appreciates it, I know I do. I have been tying to catch up on PM's, emails, and just reading all your posts, so bare with me as i catch up, in the mean while thank you all! I have many to mention but for now, just thanks to all of you, I cannot tell you how much it means to see what you accomplished the last week! Your stories is what makes it worth the hard work. So Thank you! I was asked by a few if I could organize or piggyback some other existing events across the country, what cha think, should i give it a go? Sort of an interesting thought? So I want let everyone to know that we are starting something during SF 08. Fly for your neighbor! If you are flying with him/her in mind, then chances are you are aware of where you are. And while paying attention to your pattern. So, there are plenty of neighbors out here so lets look out for each other! Casa and Otter are flying, more people appear by the hour, come on out!! ok, the slacl ass brother is the second inquiry today in that situation, I can see no problem with that, but I hold you responsible to making sure he jumps with a coach or solo. Well I do have a shirt that says skydive beotches and is orange that is a dead giveaway for me, well if people remember the avatar. I used to ask people if they were on here, but can you believe not everyone is!!!! They need to get with it. I probably should have printed the DZ com shirts with the white block to write your name in like I did a few years ago. A screw it, its SKYFEST, thats all I need. LOL Otter is flying, tents are popping, grill is fired up! Oh The famous Jeffro will be joining us this year. I've been there the last two weekends, but no, you gotto go sneaking around when no one's there I'm driving up Tuesday night, I can't wait to set up my tent in the dark. Hmmm, is there going to be designated camping areas or are people just going to set up camp wherever they feel like it in a field? I'm just trying to decide if I need to make it there in daylight hours..... Yes you will see the camping area when you get there.
