Ughmm Excuse me? SkyFest 05 ---3rd weekend of July Spaceland
-
Hey How do I join? Want to throw SkyFest for me? Its our fifth year ya know. How r ya? How come I don't have an Anvil number? Why am I just now finding out about this? Were you at Rantoul this year? I was, where were you? All these question? Why , Why? How's the job man?

All canopies can do any of that. The Sabre's never had a reputation collasping for no reason. Crossfire 1 NO THANKS! Its really not an issue anymore with the Crossfire 2. The sabre has been the most popular canopy for over a decade. There are more of those out there than there ever will be of Crossfires. Not everyone experiences those problems with the 1 or 2. When the Sabre was introduced in the 90's it was a major advancement in canopies, people made mistakes, people had to learn packing again, so with those mistakes came a reputation. Fault of the canopy, not necessarily. Loyalty to a company? How's that reserve? Blue ones J

QuoteHopefully it will help slow my big ass down), and did my pre-second jump with booties on Saturday. Quote Pre second means that there was a first...
-
Probably the same reason you jump a revised version of a canopy that killed people.
-
If it was built in th early 90's it might have the original slider on it, which eventually PD changed to a larger size. Contact PD if the DOM fits in that range. They can hook you up with specs. good luck

Not sure here is the post. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/classifieds/detail_page.cgi?ID=16684&d=1 I did get a hold of sangiro and I forwarded t to gear@dz.com. Should I hang on to the email for now, or can i get rid of it?
-
I did try that before, looks like its working now. Cool Thanks
-
I keep trying to PM Sangiro but it keeps bouncing back. I posted in the classified section Yesterday and a couple hours later I had one of those $5000.00 to your bank and refund us later scams. Just wanted to pass it to the "proper authorities". I also tried abuse@dropzone.com, once again it bounced. Where do I send it? Thanks J

Conway If I may suggest, Jack Berke has a great design for a bag. He helped my family with my Fathers ashes and it was the most incredible thing to see. The bag releases it at once instead of a "streamer", thus creating a cloud that left my father hanging around for about 10 minutes, or until everyone landed safely. My heart is out to you brother. Be strong and be safe. J

That wasn't even published in the "old" days of skydiving. Wonder how they would have explained the first batton passes in the ?60's? Well at least we didn't drown going through the clouds.

Having SkyFest or the DC 3 at Aggieland?? To which were you reffering?
-
Mouth doesn't think so, I think she is mad at me? I am sure she has put worse things in her mouth. Wait a minute that could be bad, rephrase that. The FDA allows a specific amount of crud in that chocholate, can you believe that? Maybe from now on we can buy the sweethearts beer, wine, free jumps instead of chocholate. Naawww. Everyone likes a good leg every once in a while,,,right????

When you inspect them look for discoloration of the rubber. When a section of a tire wears abnormally the rubber is a different color than the rest of the tire. just a shade difference, but noticable. So do we go five days this year for SkyFest or 9? What ya think? Rantoul seemed to be quite small, maybe we can sneak up on them in our Texas way? How bout a DC3? Ride carefully my friend. Remember every one is out to kill you! (cars that is)
-
bwaaaaaa Made my day.! I know a coule of assholes, can you help me out???? lol
-
Hey whats that old saying? What you don't know won't hurt you?? Is that right? Hey maybe you can get on Fear Factor and request to eat a bunch of chocholate for 50K. At least those criters will taste better.
-
Yes you do need to worry. If you smoked em up while skidding, chances are you did some damage. when tires get irregular wear the balance goes out. You can never correct the uneven wear, no rotating, alignment, nor balance will ever stop it. The flatter they are the more of a vibration you will feel. Your handle bars shaking will indicate that the front is out of balance and the seat shaking will indicate the rear. Unless you wore it down to the secondary rubber you really don't have a potential blow out waiting, but the traction is reduced. Not so critical in a car but on a bike I would do a careful inspection. Cup your hand around the tire (sidewall to sidewall) and lightly rub around the whole tire, if its there you will feel it. Oh, not much of a rider expert, even though I have had a motorcyle license since I was 17, but I was in the Retail/Wholesale tire industry for 15 years. Its all about the rubber. Ok dumb joke my mother told me 20 years ago. What do you call a company that makes 365 rubbers in a year. A "Goodyear". Ok I will go away now.

If you only knew? Ever had plain chocholate crunch in your mouth? Heres why! http://www.centralhudsonlab.com/chocolates.shtml Valentines would be changed forever! Flower sales just went up. yuk!

Almost had to lay down my bike Why was it sick?? Oh, never mind thats put down, my bad. Glad your ok, and glad the other driver is ok. You be a big man, wouldn't want to have your helmet coming through my windshield.

As a requirement no. But I do however have people sign, with all the boogies I attend and the people I meet I try to get thier signatures. I went through my fathers 13 logbooks after he passed and it was really cool to see what he wrote and the Pioneers that signed his books for 41 years. I decided that I would always stay on top of my logbook. Its a piece of my (and some of ya'lls history). As far as padding jumps (assuming you mean logging jumps that were not made) No way would I ever lie to be "qualified" to jump a boogie or rating. You only put yourself and others in harms way. I say keep logging your history, and collect signatures for fun. www.skyfestboogie.com

Last time I was there SW flew into Love Field but not DFW, has that changed? But either way Turtlespeed is right about Houston, and the best time to go there would be the 3rd weekend of July for SkyFest 05, celebrating its fifth year as the largest boogie in Texas. Clint will bring his RV again to. www.skyfestboogie.com Have fun where ever you go!!!!

I have photo's taken in 1967 of a blind man walking back to the packing area with his PC "S" folded in his arms while Bob Chaffin and Jerry Schrimsher guided his way. From what I was told he did a static line and Bob and Jerry followed him out and flew around him and yelled at him when to turn. No radios, just their voices. He is supposed to have been the first blind person to ever jump in Texas? Got to appreciate those Pioneers, the things they did, some smart some not so smart. There are old sydivers, there are bold skydivers, but you don't see any old, bold skydivers.

QuoteHH's latest poll shows a lot of folks believe this is possible, but even if you managed to plane out and drop the verticle speed down to zero, you'd still have a heck of a lot of forward speed and you'd be landing on your belly! Can somebody explain to me how they think this might be done? I see it hapening like down the slope of a snowy mountain. But my question is Why? What is that really going to do for the sport?? I think it will be cool to do , but it will never mean anything to our sport. Don't ya think? I mean how is it a part of progression with what we do? All I say is good luck and be safe.
