Honestly, though, what are you supposed to do? Lock your kid in their room every time you have to go to the bathroom? Did you never not listen to your parents as a kid? Wow, I really can't stand that sort of attitude regarding kids. If a parent teaches kids EARLY to do as they're told, they will do it. Kids will misbehave on much smaller issues, but on big ones like this, they won't if the parents are engaged, stick to their guns regarding consequences, and spend time with their kids. It takes a lot of effort, granted, but it works. They are worth the effort. Me personally? I don't see the relevance, but I'll answer. I did some minor things I wasn't supposed to, but nothing of this magnitude at the age of ten. Besides which, my dad wasn't all that good of a parent.

Ah...thank you...I read that just now. It's another issue...control of your kids.

Unfortunately, parents who already let their ten-year-old ride at night are not going to learn from the mistake of these parents. I have a ten-year-old. He's NEVER ridden his bike at night. This situation is tragic.

Curly Bill from Tombstone! Love that movie.

What do you mean with that "damn"? Was it that boring of a fight? Wait...rematch? Free? Was it a controversial ending? Shit, now I have to look it up. Isn't Big John gone from the UFC altogether? I think he may have even retired from refereeing. Is that even a word?

They just fell off in freefall, eh? Couldn't you have turned around, adjusted your fall rate and collected them in the air? Maybe you should ask him who his uncle is that works at the "FBI to location." Maybe he knows a friend of mine that works there, Ivan Moorehead.

What do you think of RkyMtnHigh becoming.....

When someone asks what kind of "rig" she has, she won't know which rig is being discussed. I love reading about her progress in her emails. Best of luck, Katee. -
Ours will be a year old this Christmas too. It's good because the kids love it, yet they don't play it for HOURS. They get tired of it (sometimes literally) after a while and go do something else. Plus, Daddy has fun with Madden, Ultimate Alliance and Call of Duty. No problems with the durability.

I'm not buying this one because I don't think Cote has a chance in hell. I just don't see him doing any damage to Silva whatsoever. So, since I'm not going to buy it and I just made that prediction, he'll probably shock the world with a knockout over Silva. LOL.

Questions: Are there any law enforcement agencies that even give a shit about these scams and trying to make arrests? Under which jurisdiction does this fall? Also, there have to be people on this site who have fallen for this in order to keep these guys still coming for more. Anyone reading this get scammed?

It looks as if they're not going to stray to far (if at all) from the graphic novel.

I had to stop reading several times just to laugh. "Hang a sign around your neck!" LOL!!

Wow, that story reminded me of a time I was at a Denny's late at night years ago. We heard a crash, and I went over to see what was up. A guy knocked a dude on the head with something, went to his girlfriend, backhanded her and took her purse. I grabbed a glass and was going to throw it at him and saw that that "something" in his hand was a gun. I obviously froze and didn't do a damn thing as he ran out the door. The boyfriend, bleeding from the head, RAN AFTER THE DICK!! Later he said he did it because he thought it was a phony gun. Anyway, at that point, I had not jumped out of a plane yet and this incident was so long ago that I don't remember the physical feeling afterward. This was the first time since recognizing that "skydiving feeling" that I've felt it in a non-skydiving capacity.
-
This is a blanket statement, so I'll counter it with one of my own. Parents, even bad parents, need to be informed about medical precedures of their children.
-
Yeah, I'm kind of embarrassed to say this, but I loved the feeling too.

Whenever someone asks me a question about MMA, I tell them to just watch a fight and listen to Joe Rogan talk. He really teaches as he announces.
-
The ads on this site now have sound? That's pretty annoying.
-
Rogan is funny. I had a chance to hear a two-hour interview he had on XM radio while driving a long distance. He was saying some stuff about Robin Williams Carlos Mencina(sp?) ripping off other comics. That was the only time I really heard him being serious.

Has anyone else had a "skydiving feeling" after a non-skydiving event? An event that produced adrenaline and it felt the same as if you had a day of skydiving? If so, I'd like to hear about it. Today, I gave a kid the Heimlich Maneuver, and when it was all over and I sat down to relax, I noticed that I had the same physical feeling as I do after skydiving. I even had an adrenaline crash a few hours later.

I wish that worked. I need new shoes.... Cari, did you just call yourself endowed? BOASTING!!!
-
Depends on the business...and whether or not I'm the owner. When I was a bartender, i had no problem "buying" drinks for pretty girls. It wasn't my booze.

Here's my beef with Heroes (which I mostly love, btw). When I watch something like this I obviously have to suspend my disbelief a great deal, but I can only do it so much. There's no reason for Peter Patrelli to need Sylar's powers. He already has the ability to mimic anybody's power just by getting near them!! Why would he need Sylar's ability? It's the same ability just that Sylar needs to get to the brain first. That part was dumb. Also, why did the future Peter have a scar on his face? He can HEAL!!! Hiro trying to sneak up on the precog was FUNNY!

word!! All right!! Cari finally sent you that picture, eh?
