Out flying around doing CReW, We landed about 1.5 miles short of the DZ. Not that exciting, but there was an ambulance crew eating lunch next to the open field where we landed. The five of us all got a ride TO the DZ in the back. The other jumpers thought it was great.. Once the plane takes off, you're gonna have to land - Might as well jump out!!

Hey, YOU gradiated thum.!!! You could have caught my mistakes months ago I thought they did pretty well. Hell, after I open my eyes about 1/2 way into the jump, they look just fine. Once the plane takes off, you're gonna have to land - Might as well jump out!!

advice needed - skydiving and relationships - how do you manage both??

Just keep looking for the right one for YOU!! My wife only has two jumps and will probably never be a jumper. however, she was working on a DZ when I met her and her family has been deeply involved in Skydiving for years and years. This only ment she was familar with skydiving. To work out the relationship, she has given up a lot. Mostly by having me gone weekends. However, I try and make it clear that she can either come with me to the DZ, stay at the house, or do whatever she wants. Then I try and make at least one weekend available for her time off each month. Lastly, I usually have to give her a bunch of the money I made during the weekend . Bottom line is that you will have to find a balance and someone who loves you. Once the plane takes off, you're gonna have to land - Might as well jump out!! -

Vance....You had better be around for a couple of more weeks. I'll be in Monterey the last weekend in August (Labor Day Weekend). Ann and Chris will probably be there with me. We can all pick a place for dinner. Pop, see you in a year. Yep, that's what I want to do. Strap a scared cat into some harness and put it in my jumpsuit, then jump out of a plane with it!!! It would be soooo much easier to just tie it in a bag and play kick the can...JK, I would not do that. Once the plane takes off, you're gonna have to land - Might as well jump out!!

All your jumps should not have to "be" with a coach, at least just have a coach in the plane. Besides, if you are that strapped, there should be an instructor around to work you through some of the license. Heck, I'll be in Lompoc this weekend. Bring your card, buy a couple of jumps for yourself and a couple of beers for me and we'll see what you have done. The only jumps you need to have someone there is the 100 foot to dock and the A-license check dive. Right?? Once the plane takes off, you're gonna have to land - Might as well jump out!! -
