Aren't you in your late 30's and have a successful job, and not reliant upon your parents??? Sorry, but I find it very odd, that the only thing that kept you home this weekend (not your family, or your ill father) is the prospect of losing money... I'd die to have the ability to live near my family to be able to visit them for holidays. I'm lucky if I see my family once a year.... g I never said "cut me off" was about money. In my family silence can be used as a weapon, so to speak. It can be either "do what I approve of" or i don't talk to you until I get my way. Sad but sometimes true. Depending on the situation....
