In this thread, we name relatively recent movies that we loathed.

I enjoyed it. Then again, I don't live in Jersey. That's what drove me nuts about it. I can't stand the Northern New Jersey/New York thing. Always be kinder than you feel. -

Hey, I could've been the second Mrs. Bonaduce. True story. Edited to correct the wife #. You have to share the story. He was the roommate of an old boyfriend's friend when he was working at a radio station in Philadelphia in the late 80s. I thought he looked somewhat familiar to me when I saw him following me around a party. My boyfriend left me alone and DB came over. I could tell he was messed up on something and told him to fuck off. He followed me around the entire party like a stalker. One of my guy friends got in his face and things got loud. Moved on to another party at another location in the same town and he was there too. An American Legion Beef and Beef. Someone said to me Danny Partridge is in love with you, he keeps staring at you. Only THEN did it click who he was. I'd see him around and he'd say 'go out with me sometime' and I always said no. Shortly after that I'm pretty sure he moved away to California. Not long after that I was getting ready for work one morning and heard on the radio he got married to a girl he met the same night as their first date. I was thinking I sure dodged the psycho bullet there! More recently, a few years ago when he was back working at another Philly radio station, he came for tandems a couple of times. I was like eff that, I'm not coming around those days. He ended up hanging out with the guys and they treated him like a rock star and had a lot of fun with him. Sounds like he's been clean for a while and that's great.

No love for the Turtle? Love the Turtle but I don't want to keep him in my house. In a glass aquarium thing. Turtle needs to explore the ocean or a lake. Just remembered others: Scuba divers who wear every piece of equipment they own for a 40' reef dive. Shellfish/lobster Raw fish Bitter beer Always be kinder than you feel.

I just watched "Casino"(1995) last week. Ever see it? Also a true story. Pesci plays nearly the same character, but they aren't nearly as "gentle" with him in the end. I sure have. Actually, the inspiration for the prosecutor in the movie Casino was a family friend. He died two years ago next month. His name is Dennis Gomes. Wonderfullllllll man and a great, loving, loyal family to boot!! That movie is in my top 5. Always be kinder than you feel. -

Oh, an aristocrat? When I saw the Fox News Alert this morning all I could picture was Ray Liotta's Henry Hill in the shower scene when he hears the heist news on the radio. I'm sure Henry Hill's in Heaven or Hell laughing his ass off he's not around for the new fallout. Always be kinder than you feel. -

Right, I think most people equate "awesome" to the "admiration" part of that definition. I think most people who are aware of the definition of awesome realize Calvin's intention was the apprehension and/or fear descriptive. The admiration thought never crossed my mind.
