Some big cities are easy to move around too. I live 5 minutes from a train station, 3 mins. from a bus stop, and easy walking distance each from two groceries, two drug stores, a bank, a Walmart, three restaurants, six bars. And a bike path goes right past my driveway.

Turns out that in the past 12 months the USA under Biden deported more illegals than Trump did in any year of his presidency, 271,484. The previous highest was in 2014, under Obama. Yet people like JB, BH, etc have swallowed Trump's lies hook, line and sinker.

The data show conclusively that both between nations, and between states in the USA, that homicide rates track gun availability very well. Having gun in the house makes it more likely that you or a family member will be killed.

The number of Americans each year who kill themseves or family/friends in a firearm accident is pretty much the same as the number of justifiable shootings of felons. So owning a gun is, on balance, of zero benefit when it comes to self defense. Easy access to guns, however, makes it far more likely that a criminal you encounter will shoot you. Turtle can make all the lame arguments he wants to justify gun ownership, but the data simply don't support his position.

There were 471 justifiable homicides by civilian gun owners in the USA in 2023, the last year for which data are available. This is a tiny tiny fraction of the firearm homicides committed by felons with easy access to guns, 13,529 at least (not all jurisdictions supply data, there are certainly more.

Well, gas stations are the center of American culture, apparently. His lame claim that Americans are just a whole lot nastier than other nationalities doesn't explain why his hero wants to exclude immigrants. Following his logic it will just make the USA even worse.
