Cool. That's what I was thinking. I'll try the other settings tomorrow.

I'm experiencing a fair amount of shake and flutter on my new CX150. I assume it's related to the steadyshot settings. There are three modes for Steadyshot: Active ("for a stronger image stabilzation effect") Standard ("suitable for shooting in stable conditions") Off I was shooting in Active. I have yet to jump the other modes. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Best exercises for skydiving?
cmdrjay1 replied to Southern_Man's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I would recommend core strengthening exercises. They will strengthen and stabilize your paraspinal and abdominal muscles which can protect your spine from hard openings and the repetitive stress of deployment. Good exercises would include birddogs, planks etc. -

My CF 139 is loaded at 1.7. It has a powerful flare and is totally fine on a straight-in approach.

I have replaced two within the last year because the LED wiring came loose, both mounted on helmets. Didn't know I could get them replaced... I'll keep that in mind next time

No. This particular cameraflyer was in the habit of doing a half backloop after opening, hanging upside down with his legs wrapped around the risers and shooting video/pictures of the tandem he was with. This time, one of his legs went through the lines.

The increased heart rate and blood pressure that people are talking about is as a result of the activation of the sympathetic nervous system. Prolonged activation of the sympathetics is linked to several health problems including: immune system compromise, gastrointestinal issues (digestion etc), and sleep problems.

That can work, unless faced with the dreaded "main-girl-friend" & "reserve-girl-friend" entanglement! HAHAHAHAHA. I think I peed a little.

I have one camera in particular, an XTi that acts funny once we get to altitude. The bite switch always works perfectly on the ground and up to about 7,000 ft or so. Once we are on jump run, the bite switch works about 1/2 the time. When it is not working, the camera will take pictures with the button on the camera itself, but not with the bite switch. If I take the battery out for a few seconds, then put it back in, it usually works. Sometimes I have to do it twice. Any ideas? Edit: it does this with every bite/tongue switch I have owned.

getting a new micron please help with container size :/
cmdrjay1 replied to Veritas.'s topic in General Skydiving Discussions
You don't want to have a full fitting reserve and a full fitting main. Your rigger won't be thrilled, and you won't enjoy stuffing your main in there. The 310 is still a small looking rig, and you will have lots of downsizes left. You can go all the way down to 119-120, and don't forget about going elliptical down the road. The 309 might work for you also: http://www.unitedparachutetechnologies.com/PDF/Sizing-Chart.pdf -
Thanks, Dude. Having a good soundtrack is crucial.

Pretty simple. Sony HC52, Macbook, Final Cut Pro. Enjoy

It's not like you bought a 318i and put M3 badges on it. It's the same damn container. Rock on Bro.

And - not to hijack the thread - what I was practicing and executed *might* have been too fast, but I would think that it's more important to have the presence of mind to make sure that your cutaway cables are clear before pulling reserve rather than just pausing between pulls Absolutely.
