    Our method was 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, check canopy: malfunction!!! LOOK, LOCATE, CUT, AWAY, RESERVE, ARCH. we have about 12 harnesses hanging from the hangar roof as well which help simulate a cut away scenario. would use them every now and again to make sure my drills are effective Dudeist Skydiver #170 You do not need a parachute to skydive, you only need one to skydive again

    the way i have learnt it is not to look straight down but more of a 45 degree angle, and when i think i am at the point of flare, wait another second before braking evenly, on both sides of the canopy. and keep those toggles nice and even!!!!     just have over 100 jumps but logging is useful for me anyway for keeping a record of how many jumps has been done on the canopy so i have a fair idea of its value and when a reline is approaching Dudeist Skydiver #170 You do not need a parachute to skydive, you only need one to skydive again

    yup students have to have WDIs dropped on the first load and maybe again if the winds change significantly. also we do a low spot for our B Licence in which we throw the WDI from 5000 and assess spot from there Dudeist Skydiver #170 You do not need a parachute to skydive, you only need one to skydive again

    depends what airline you travel on can be checked in as sports baggage- some airlines allow it as check in into the passenger cabin if it meets size requirements. if you do this, bring your xray card with ya showing the details of your AAD. but usually its ok in the hold of the aircraft (make sure your aad is off first ) Dudeist Skydiver #170 You do not need a parachute to skydive, you only need one to skydive again

    did a 7 way from a chopper last week in Gap and I have to say it was absolutely amazing- the feeling in the first few seconds of freefall is unreal i felt anyway although i thought initial swooping was difficult Dudeist Skydiver #170 You do not need a parachute to skydive, you only need one to skydive again
