  1. *** No one seems to get too worked up when they need to get a background check, show they know how to operate one, and show they will be financially responsible before being licensed at the DMV to own and operate a car.
  2. Their will always be "death panels" ask your private insurance for a heart transplant when you have end stage cancer, Medicare has the exact same thing, Nothing is changing, it's just an easy way to scare the uneducated and Republicans. It just goes to show the desperation, You guys have tried 40 times to repeal this, time to move on.

  4. Living Social and Groupon are in the process of collapsing. Their business model is unsustainable, restaurants cannot afford to give out $20 meals for $5 when the expected repeat business never comes back, the majority of Groupon users are cheap-asses and are only looking for a one time bargain. People looking to cross skydiving off their bucket list are no different, I saw my home DZ implode from Groupon, they would sell 1000 tandems and then get a check for $50,000 a few days later from Groupon and temporarily jump start their cash flow. within a month, they were back to being unable to pay the staff, only then to sell more Groupons to shore up the cash flow once again, 90% of their tandems were Groupon, a vicious cycle.
  5. This illustrates the dangers of jumping up on an exit. http://youtu.be/EQOA5x4fbpA
  6. I wonder who will play Vince Foster, it's going to be so entertaining to see that story rehashed over and over again.
  7. FWIW, Last summer, one of the loads that I was on at Lodi came close enough to crashing that the pilot had been fired by the time I landed. Nothing more exciting than looking out the window and being able to see straight down the runway as soon as the Otter lifted off.
  8. I was just wondering if there was a standing record? Thanks.
  9. This reminds me of the night I ran down the street shouting" A BOY, I DON'T BELIEVE IT, IT'S A BOY!" And with tears streaming down my face I swore I would never visit a Thai brothel again.
  10. I never said I did not like babies, I have worked with very sick babies 40 hours a week for the last 10 years. I do think the coverage right now is just slightly over the top and there are certainly other issues that are just a bit more pressing.
  11. It reminds of what life must be like in N. Korea when the " The leader " has a baby born.
  12. But this is bull shit. Two words; Glen Beck.
  13. I never mentioned you, I was only referring to the fact that the blaze will post some of the craziest of crazy conspiracy theory's, always centered on how the government is never to be trusted and are the reasons behind every problem. Now when the federal Government miraculously supports one of their positions, they take off running and spike the football. BTW, I totally support fracking, the sooner we get natural gas up and running and the auto industry converts, we can tell OPEC to fuck off.
  14. It's a little bit more than ironic that the Right is citing a federal study, I was under the impression that the whole federal government was no more than a bunch of lap dogs for their evil master Obama.

  16. I agree with you 100%, While things are 99% better than they were 100 years ago, profiling still happens. a friend of mine 's mother is a black Congresswomen from Berkley, She has been pulled over in her car with congressional plates and the first words asked of her were" Where's the congressman" She has been accused of soliciting by SFO police. The fact is, the race card is played so often that it diminishes the genuine cases. But to flat out deny that there were ever laws that only targeted minorities is just ignorant, ask Rosa Parks.
  17. He claims there is no "history" of laws specifically targeting minorities and then only concedes that "perhaps" some laws were enforced against minorities unequally. If one is so ignorant of history, (and he's not) any rational argument is pointless. This is straight from the GOP handbook, repeat a lie frequently enough and it soon must be a fact.
  18. Perhaps? the dumbest statement ever written on this site.
  19. This is going to be good, very classy of the Cheney's to try and primary an old family friend, who also happens to be as conservative as they come. http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2013/07/liz-cheney-jumps-into-wyoming-senate-race-against-mike-enzi/
  20. He has just exanded the list of the those to whom he does it Do you have a citation? He was just 17 years old, and he's been doing this for years? that's funny.
  21. I administer Benzodiazepines on a daily basis. they are in fact calming agents. Temazipam is used to treat insomnia and anxiety. The classic Benzo's are Valium, Ativan and Xanax. We administer them all the time for seizures, They are by definition "relaxing drugs" you have no idea what your talking about.
  22. I'm guessing the 45% was a SYG defense against someone white who was killed.
