  1. Fixed it for you. That's why I work in the mines dickhead. Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)
  2. Ok fine if you Gus aren't going to help out here maybe we should start by making a list of all the swear words we can think of. let's recap what we have so far. Fuck Fucks Fucken Fuckers Fucking Fuck em Shit Asshole Arsehole Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)
  3. you work on a mine site, Fuck 'em Yeah they're all assholes anyway! Fucken over paid underworked arseholes. Dirty fuckers Ah fuck it, I knew you fuckers wouldn't be any fucking help. Well shit...how the fuck were we supposed to know you were serious? For fucks sake, can't anyone here see this fucking shit is fucking serious! Fuck! 5. ...are not intelligent enough to think of better words" So... Umm.. Anyone want to help me out with some better words that I can use in place of all the fun ones. Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)
  6. Well if you knew me you would know that things are constantly going wrong for me, maybe that's because I am always taking on a lot of things and have many different plans. Having many different plans and keeping my options open allow me to very easily deal with things going wrong. It's like if your following a map to get to a destination and somewhere along the way you come to a bridge that has collapsed. You don't just give up on getting to where you want to be, you look and your map and find a different route. Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)
  7. Who gives a fuck what society thinks? If I'm the one out doing what I want then Im much better off than the people sitting around watching wishing they could. It's like saying most people would rather go out and watch a professional sporting event than go play it themselves. They don't have to pros at it and they don't need to have people watch them play to validate it. I think life is much better doing the things you to yourself rather than living vicariously through the actions of others. Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)
  8. Ok, your "life rocks." Awesome. Good for you. Still doesn't apply to "most people." That's why most people only watch and wish their life could rock. Add another point to the "my life rocks" group
  9. Using the example provided I would say you fucked yourself over by depending on something that is out of your control. You stay with one company hoping for a promotion and pass up other opportunities that could be beneficial. In my industry I increased my earnings by 4x in about 3 years by moving onto better companies. Sur ei could have stayed with the same company and worked my ass off and maybe gotten promoted to a slightly higher paying position but I have found it way more beneficial to continue chasing the better offers that seem to be out there. So I would say I try really hard to avoid adversity, making sure my options are always open and that I always have a back up plan. Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)
  10. Find a DZ you can live on full time while still doing the day job. I did this for my last 2 years in Canada. It was great, I had a real paycheck coming in every week and I got to jump pretty much everyday while working on my coach rating and doing some video. I had a really long commute to work but it was so worth it. If you can get a job close to a large DZ that runs 7 days a week you get the best of both worlds. 11. I might just rock up with nothing but my rig and play the where I am I going to sleep tonight game. It will be fun for me, a lottery for the hookers and a scavenger hunt for Mad John organizing the almost sober loads Hell we could even have a betting pool to see who's tent I will crawl put of the tunnel of shame in the morning The tour has added a new date. I will be at the australin skydiving nationals and Easter boogie at ramblers in april. Gotta defend my gold medals in 16 way and 10 way speed, if I can get on a team that is. 12. Funny thing is most of the locals I met in SEA seem to be a lot happier with thier life than you are even tho you say you have a job that pays 100k/yr Maybe if your priority was just making enough money to pay for "somewhere" to sleep at night having enough food to eat life would be a lot easier for you as well. If all you had to pay for in life was a hammock and a mosquito net for a place to sleep and some rice and veggies for food every day the cost of labour would be a hell of a lot cheaper. Instead you want to have some flash condo, eat steak everyday and drive a BMW. Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)
  13. Is anyone planning on driving from Summerfest to lost prairie? Seeing as Summerfest ends on the 5th and LP starts on the 4th it would be best to fly but I'm always up for a road trip. I don't think I'm going to have my camper an for this trip as driving from coast to coast to coast is just going to take to much time. (damn boogies are in the wrong geographical order) but I know some of you guys rent RVs for LP so I might look into that if you can recommend something. I may also be looking for a ride from southern Ontario to Summerfest if any other Canadians are making the journey. I think I ride from LP back to Alberta should be pretty easy. Still jot entirely sure of travel dates of locations but it spooking like I will be flying to LAX sometime late june or early July if anyone knows of any events in the area or if anyone just wants to put up with me for a week or two. Also looking for boogies in late August. I plan on heading back to Australia in September if anyone wants to get on the " your going to get robbed" tour bandwagon there is a fucking awesome boogie at ramblers in QLD in October. The equinox boogie :) Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)

  15. If you are under 30 many countries offer working holiday visa to allow you to visit and work for a year or two. There a few countries like new Zealand that offer this visa up to 35 years old. Unfortunately the USA has no such program. ( which is why Americans can't get this visa in many countries) I've been in Australia for jus over a year on tis type of visa. Working in the skydiving industry here is a great option, IF you have the experience. The big tandem drop zones want you to have a 1000 jumps before you do tandem. Outside video Is pretty much non existent except for a few Dzs and you need a rating to do packing. I have done a bit of packing and video work but only after ecoming a regular at some drop zones. I have been living the backpacker lifestyle and still making really good money for a gew years doing my normal job as a welder. If you want to travel and earn good money get a career that will allow you to do short term work that pays well, such as construction trades. 16. So Mad John spent all his holiday money on hookers and blow... Just couldn't wait for LP could he. Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)

  18. I had a 1980 Cadillac coupe deville. The body capacity was definitely a worthy topic! Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)
  19. Maybe start a new event where you don't have to buy tickets.... I'm sure there is lots of room out there in the desert. Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)
  20. 4 different emergency procedures that may be used when jumping a camera with a cutaway system. 1- cutaway, reserve - normal EP 2- camera, cutaway, reserve - horse shoe with camera after main deployment. 3- cutaway, camera, reserve - horse shoe or entanglement with camera after cutting away from malfunction. 4- cutaway, reserve, camera- horse shoe or entanglement with reserve. Thought this stuff was pretty obvious... Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)
  21. Well you do look good wearing all that purple Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)
  22. I started jumping camera at around 160 jumps. I bought a used camera helmet with a pc109 with a cutaway chin cup. I didn't just strap in on and forget about. I got coaching, lots of it. The first thing my coach did was teach me 4 different EPs for various malfunction scenarios when jumping with a camera and had me drill them many times over. Can anyone here even tell me what the 4 different EPs might be while jumping a camera helmet with a cutaway system? The the first couple of jumps I was to jump without turning the camera on just to get used to the extra weight of the helmet. Then I did a couple of 2 ways where the objective was to keep the subject in frame while maintaining altitude awareness. We debrief my video pointing out where I was looking at what I was doing after deployment. You know, fly away from the formation and clear your air space before doing anything else with the camera, slider, toggles etc. I think this coaching really helped prepaid me to fly camera and I think it's one of the bigger problems with today's culture is that you never really see anyone getting coaching on flying camera. Everyone is to busy saying you don't have enough experience and your going to die if you do that... So it would be nice to see some kind of camera endorsement, even if it is just informal coaching from a senior camera jumper. Most people are keen to learn if presented with the opportunity. 24. I thought that was a great way to get a date Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)
  25. Don't think I've been on an actual date in years. Most of my relationships are the result of drunkenly making out with the person next to me. How the fuck do "normal" people end up on dates? Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)
