Another one of the videographers where I shoot took his off for tandems because you don't really need it ______________________________________________________ Does this mean you are not using any wide angle lense at all or are just using a higher lense like a .5 or .6?

I'm putting together my first camera helmet. Do I need a sight ring? I will be using a .43 wide angle lense and be filming mostly freefly and crw footage for starters. Any feedback?

A friend of mine just bought a Sony Pc-110. I have a Sony TRV-30. As far as I have been able to tell the cameras are identical except for the shape (pc-110 sidemount configuration, trv-30 top mount configuration) Does anyone have any further info on difference between these two cameras? I only ask because he got his PC-110 for considerably less then my TRV-30.

Just wondering if anyone out there has the hard facts (not something you read in a magazine) about the differences in performance between the FX and the Chaos-21 at similar wing loadings. Maybe Chris could comment on this. Also, for my own curiosity, what is the current state of the relationship between Icarus and Precision? Does everyone still love each other down south?

__________________________________________________My reccommendation for MINIMUM loading on any crossbraced canopy is about 1.7 -1.8 lbs./ft __________________________________________________ My wife jumps an FX 99 at a wing loading of 1.4 and loves it! She jumped many demo canopies, including most of the ones mentioned above in this post, before purchasing the FX and none of them had the bottom end flare of the x-braced FX. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO LOAD AN X-BRACED CANOPY HEAVILY TO GET BETTER PERFORMANCE RELATIVE TO OTHER CANOPIES!

For anyone who is interested, I made a little database for logging skydiving video. It is in Microsoft Access. You will need to delete the data that is currently entered in it and change the names in the dropdown menus for "Location" and "Camera". It is pretty simple to use if you enter all your data through the "Form" page. It has fields for tape #, time code, date, location, and participants. Then there are 12 check boxes to define what kind of clip it is (rw, crw, tandem, freefly, funny etc.) Once all the data is entered you can use filters to recall clips of certain type. For instance you could bring up a list of all the clips you have that are of freefly skydives that are funny or that are of swoop landings that are scary. So have you jumped the SET 400? If so how do you compare it to the Icarus mains? I have not jumped anything but Strong Tandems and am curious.
