  10. ZOMG! Maybe she even had sex!!!!!!! Remster
  11. Sure. Because simply approving a budget is proving to be so efficient, might as well add all legislation. Remster
  12. IMO, that's your market, right there (ans not so large ones once you get some traction with the big ones.). Good luck!
  13. Unfortunately it cannot be paid after a cut-away. If someone lets their subscription lapse, we disable the device's SIM card with our carrier. This is so we don't have to continue paying our carrier for a device that our customer isn't paying for. If someone has a cut-away with our device and their subscription isn't current, the cellular network will block the device from connecting or communicating. Once someone does renew their subscription we can re-activate the SIM card in our systems right away, but it takes 24-48 hours for our carrier to get it registered through their network again. It sounds to me like you're saying it actually can be paid after a cutaway, but it would be 1 or 2 days until it would be activated. So, a canopy would be out in the elements for that long. If you assume 10 min of exposure to the sun on a normal jump, it really isn't that many equivalent jumps worth of exposure (100 to 200 or so at the most). Is there something else that prevents a person from being willing to wait for the activation to occur before being able to track down the canopy? I would venture to say that the battery would be dead by then. Remster
  14. Exactly-if you read the OP's description of the jump, he was unstable, froze and did not deploy his parachute. That's not something you can sugar coat in a debrief. He's lucky to be alive and it sounds to me like these 2 instructors did everything to help this guy in the air AND on the ground afterwards. Now he's online complaining that they weren't nice or understanding enough. No one is doing him any favors by agreeing with him there. Yep. This aint bowling. Remster
  15. If you're planning to go even slightly off the main highways, buy some paper maps. Remster
  16. Unless you are putting significant force directly into your risers by pulling/pushing them, and therefore changing where your weight is being carried by them, how you sit on your harness will not change how your wing will fly (aerodynamics aside, but you guys aren't talking about laying completely horizontal). Your CG will always be right under your 3ring attachment point line. New age touchy-feely nonsense does not trump physics. Remster
  17. I'm telling you guys... It's 2000 all over again. Remster
  18. If you're not this guy's instructor, please, STFU, listen more and ask questions. Remster
  19. Agree with all that. But again, people were predicting his demise well before the debate, and his numbers just keep climbing. (And the election, at the end of the day, is a popularity contest, not an objective evaluation of fitness or talent.) I can tell you this. As an outside observer (well, from the inside this time lol), it looks an awful lot like 2000. Remster
  20. It's a DRINKING game! You damn stonner coloradians... Remster
