  1. Ok, that had me laughing my ass off!!!
  2. Are you clicking the link under the "Events" list? Not the one in the grid... Try again, and let me know if you're still having problems.
  3. Yes, there is availability for Saturday.
  4. As Upndownshop posted in another thread, "If we aren't jumping, we're jumping each other." See you at SkyFest!!
  5. And you're hoping to find skydivers who fit that description? I was thinking the same thing... I'm sure someone in the GA area will take you up on your offer, Bob!!
  6. I have never heard anyone other than my parents call it "Tricycle Motor Making!" I'm so glad my family isn't the only one to use that phrase!!
  7. I saw that on the news this morning!! Hahahahaha Their teaser was something like, "You have the hurricanes in Florida. You have candle light. What are you supposed to do? We'll discuss the boom in babies being born in Florida..." There was a huge ice storm back home a few years ago.... 9 months later I had a nephew!!
  8. Ahhh... pictures... will your lens stretch from where you are to Cora and Dan?? That'd have to be a pretty darn good camera!
  9. Cora! You naughty girl!!! I like it!
  10. I think that is EXACTLY what was trying to be said in the other thread. I couldn't agree more with these statements...
  11. I'm not worried about Ann... Ann should be worried about Cora!! Just wait till SkyFest, Baby... I'll fly circles around you AND your ass!!
  12. I got the impression she appreciates your ass...
  13. Dan, are you cheating on me with Ladyskydiver?!?!? It couldn't be with a better person!!
  14. Two of my coworkers said the exact same thing.... I work in construction (as a secretary, not a laborer) and 7 out of 10 of the guys who work there are black. I have invited everyone to go make at least one jump. Their answer, "Hell naw!! Black folks don't do that! That's for you crazy white people!" But they do love to hear about my jumps on Monday.
  15. Yes, some men are definitely treated differently than others. I know of one specifically and will let him post his experiences.
  16. My answer is absolutely. Thankfully I learned how to do that. I admit I was invited on MANY skydives because I'm a girl. I was well aware that was happening and used it to my advantage to show them that I actually can fly and actually can do what they do. Boy were they surprised!
  17. Added PLF to the "attending list."
  18. Yes, but my point is that if he was not in the picture you would have gotten AT LEAST the standard instruction. More likley you would have gotten *Better* instruction since you were better to look at than "Joe fat ass" Agreed... somewhat. He wasn't in the room during my AFF training. That was one-on-one with my instructor. He was basically professional, but looking back now, I don't think he was 100%. I'm sure he didn't train me the way he would have trained "Joe fat ass." I didn't get more or better training. I got what I needed to know to not die. Luckily, I got out of there early enough in my "career" and hooked up with decent people who took the time to answer my questions and train me as a skydiver, not a chic with tits. And teaching your old gf's to pack... those were just examples. You know I don't pack anymore. I can't tell you now what I didn't know then but I have asked so many questions in the last 10 years. Simple things that I should have known before I started jumping, or at the very least, shortly thereafter.
