  1. Thanks Rookie for answering Mockingbird's questions! I hope you got all of the answers you were looking for. I'm sure J will chime in if Rookie left anything out.

  7. Thanks, but I didn't mean for you to repost the whole list. LOL I'm not even going to comment about you waxing for a thong. UGH!! MY BRAIN!! Does anyone have a brain image eraser???????????
  8. I have to agree. While I haven't been seriously injured while skydiving, I have had plenty of bruises, limps, and a huge hole in my hand from a bad road landing. Some people ask and don't know how to reply when I've told them it was skydiving. However, I had a car wreck in 2003 and had to have neck surgery a year later. When I tell skydivers or whuffos that I have a fusion in my neck, their first question is usually, "Is it from skydiving?" Go figure.
  9. Can you edit that list and take Ladyskydiver off? I'm so sad she won't make it. I always love seeing her!
  10. I like this girl!!!!!!!!!! You just might be on to something there!!
  11. J and I will be running around like chickens with our heads cut off. Hopefully you can catch us at a good moment and say hello!
  12. It looks like we're going to Windy Park sometime later this week I think. It's in Austin, but not too far out of the way I think. PM me if you're interested and maybe we can meet there. We'll be on our way to SkyFest, too.
  13. I'd say, from what I've heard, it's about half and half. I have heard from a few that say, "Maybe." It's hard to tell who will or won't show up. Psst... your website isn't working. Or am I doing something wrong?
  14. She's adorable! The first name that came to my mind was "Toggles."
  15. Lisa, we're in Texas right now, otherwise I would LOVE to go diving with you!! Maybe next time???? You'll have to let us know.
  16. That's a great idea, Daizey. I hope to see it a reality.
  17. Thanks for all of the responses! I knew there were alot of skydiver who were also scuba divers, but I didn't expect this kind of reply!
  18. My mom sent this to me and I thought it was too great not to share! A mouse looked through the crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife open a package. "What food might this contain?" The mouse wondered - he was devastated to discover it was a mousetrap. Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed the warning. "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!" The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said, "Mr. Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to me. I cannot be bothered by it." The mouse turned to the pig and told him, "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!" The pig sympathized, but said, "I am so very sorry, Mr. Mouse, but there is nothing I can do about it but pray. Be assured you are in my prayers." The mouse turned to the cow and said "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!" The cow said, "Wow, Mr. Mouse. I'm sorry for you, but it's no skin off my nose." So, the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected, to face the farmer's mousetrap alone. That very night a sound was heard throughout the house -- like the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey. The farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught. The snake bit the farmer's wife. The farmer rushed her to the hospital, and she returned home with a fever. Everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup's main ingredient. But his wife's sickness continued, so friends and neighbors came to sit with her around the clock. To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig. The farmer's wife did not get well; she died. So many people came for her funeral, the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide enough meat for all of them. The mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with great sadness. So, the next time you hear someone is facing a problem and think it doesn't concern you, remember -- when one of us is threatened, we are all at risk. We are all involved in this journey called life. We must keep an eye out for one another and make an extra effort to encourage one another.
  19. Do you think 3 is good? It will tell more of a "story" than just one picture.
