Hey Darius, Lots of others have already told you not to get the 120 ish sized reserve. I agree with them and i will give you another example. I have a few more jumps than you. Like you, my canopy skills are pretty good so far. My canopies are much smaller than what you are talking about but the principle is the same. I bought a rig to fit a main, with little concern of reserve sizing. I had a mal, chopped it, and flew that reserve for the first time. It flew fine and i landed safely in the peas. I was so concerned with the "what if's" with a reserve that small that i sold the rig and got one with a larger reserve. Remember that a reserve is your last chance. I know i could land that reserve safely if and when everything else was ok. What if i was unconscious, arm broken/dislocated, etc. In that instance, i didn't feel that I could land that reserve under abnormal circumstances. Selecting gear can be a trying time, listen to your instructors and choose wisely. There is always other gear available.

Dave, we set our jumprun up so that isn't usually a problem EXCEPT: Freefliers exiting after a four way RW group have a tendency to get to deployment altitude much faster than the group in front of them. When they open and start flying back toward the dz, then yes, they are flying into "hostile territory" Under those circumstances, i have a habit of flying perp. to jumprun (when i am one of those freefliers) until i see the first group opening up.

It shows footage of a high speed pass from inside the casa and his own perspective.(Red V-1) I saw it first hand, he definately climbed on exit. It is a commercial for my company. A/C and Heating. This show host does live call ins with prompts that we send him for our commercial spots. They give a more personalized feel than having a radio voice just read a script for an ad. Well, that is the theory anyway. I think i owe beer! Steve, I chose not to compete in the CPC this year but it had nothing to do with the fact that i don't fly a crossbraced canopy. For me it was because i had not been jumping prior to the start of the season and i had just changed wings, i did not feel current enough to be running gates. I DO plan on competing in '06 and it will NOT be under a crossbraced wing. In our first CPC event, I think Yoshi placed second under an Xfire2.
