Ok, i am probably going to get flamed like no tomorrow for this because i am not an excellent freeflyer. I can tell you what i was told by some very competent fliers and it worked for me: When you feel yourself in the position on your back. Move your body like you are trying to stand up. Sit in a chair with your ass towards the front and lean back. Then feel what it is like to rotate forward and stand up. That is what you are shooting for. When i am on my back, i lean my head towards my feet then push down with my feet like i am trying to stand. It is a feeling you will get with practice. I hope this helps, if not, sorry. There are plenty of great ff'ers on this forum who might be able to help you, otherwise the old addage; It's nothing 1,000 jumps won't fix. Opening Shock/Landing for An Old-Timer

Hey Dan i would think that with the right canopy and training under said canopy, you would have very little to no opening or landing shock. A PD Spectre comes to mind as a good beginning square with reputation for soft openings and landings. Visit the dz and ask some instructors. Good Luck. I am a newbie to this sport. I was taught as you were that this is an unsafe practice. I was on the plane recently and an experienced skydiver was sitting on the floor of the king air right next to the door with a seatbelt on. Once we got off the ground and people were wanting the door up for some cool air, another skydiver (well respected around here anyway) said no. When seatbelt guy asked why not, he simply said that our rules didn't allow that. Eventually the guy took his belt off. No problems after that. No one got offended and no one went on the defensive either. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

I'm just happy i'm no longer in the notebook Esp. since i live closer to her than all of you. At least she doesn't know exactly where my house is. My neighbors would freak out with a boozehag hanging around. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

300:3:0 $300 spent on fireworks for Friday night at the DZ. We put on one hell of a show Only did three jumps this past weekend but had more fun on those three than i have had in a LONG time. I got to jump with Retreved on the first one and we launched a two-way flower and transitioned to sits and got in a few docks. Second jump was a 4 way with GR1 and i Sitting with GR23 and Lance flying HD on each side. Third jump was just a two way with GR23. Two way sit with toe docks, then a couple hand to foot docks. Too much fun. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

Ok, being a redneck myself, how about cutting out the word "BEER" out of the diamond plate then framing the whole thing with some barnwood trim. Kinda rustic like. I think it would fit in at your dz. Just an idea Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

DON'T give your credit card # to ANYONE on an e-mail. Ask them to give you the proper numbers or make a new account or something to do it over a secure site. Just my .02 Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

Congrats man. Good estimators are hard to come by. Sounds like you are consistently estimating jobs and not undercutting them. That makes more money for your boss and he is cool enough to recognize that without you, he wouldn't be making as much. When times do get tough (and they will) you are someone he will keep. Good job. I never have. It's not like they make the same salary as waiters/waitresses. He is probably a subcontractor and gets paid per job. I say NO!! Edit: cause i can't spell. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

Well i've got some stories about phree and jessicakes....maybe it's finally time to get revenge for the camera/commentary incident of a year and a 1/2 ago....
