  1. +1 They have a patent that other "bagless/whirlwind" vacuums can't compete with. "Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds." -Albert Einstein

I don't care what country you're from, if you don't know what "this country" is, you are either not very intelligent or you're trolling. 3. No MMA for me, but I train Jiu-Jitsu whenever I get a chance. I can't believe you were able to get your instructor in a triangle after only a couple months of training. That doesn't sound very good! "Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds." -Albert Einstein
  4. Actually it does, at least if you measure that present by the world around you. I could theoretically go 30 years into the future where my daughter would be older than me and my fiance about ready for her AARP subscription. I certainly would consider myself to have escaped "my present." "Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds." -Albert Einstein

  7. What fight were you watching? In the one I saw, Forrest only dominated Round 2. He also won Rounds 3 and 5, but Rounds 1 and 4 had to go to Rampage. Two of the three judges saw it the same as me: 48-46. I do agree with the leg kicks though; he should've kept pounding on it. 10. Well, I was going to mention that I'm spreading mine out for various reasons and I'm happy with the way I'm doing it, but popsjumper's post hits the nail square on the head. Hmm, maybe I should rethink my plan... My 2 cents: I would start now if you you could jump every 30 days, rather than postpone it to some unknown time in order to get it all done at once. edited to add the previous paragraph. 11. I've done two AFFs so far and I'm addicted too. I'm overdue for #3, but it's finances and my fiance holding me back . I did my first jump because my friend took me for my birthday and afterwards we decided to progress through the whole AFF sequence and get our A licenses. He surprised me with the jump, and if he had asked me what I wanted to do ahead of time, I would have said no to skydiving. Thank god it was a surprise! Both jumps were awesome experiences. The first one blew my mind and was very surreal, but everything went smoothly (with a reminder to do my practice pulls) and I stood up on landing. I was much more clearheaded on the 2nd jump, but my radio only worked if my head was in a certain position. I heard my instructor most of the way through the landing sequence, but lost him at the very end (very important for the flare). I looked down and saw I was getting very close to the ground when luckily I heard him tell me to look at the horizon. The was the last thing I heard him say, but it enabled me to realize how high I still was. I flared on my own and had another stand up landing. If I crash on #3 I'm going to blame you for jinxing me. 13. Bill, Does physics have a much better explanation? Shotgun that's interesting, I'm on the flip side of you. I would consider myself agnostic if anything, but I do believe in God. I'm just open to the possibility that there isn't one. However, I think my idea of God is far different than most peoples'. I think of God more like the native Americans did, more like "Mother Nature." In any case, I think it's beyond our comprehension. maadmax, Forgive my ignorance, but I thought Christians believed something along the lines of "though shall not judge" as in, only God can judge. Is that not the case? "Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds." -Albert Einstein

  15. Haha . I was going to make a smart-ass remark, but decided not to. But that was funny. "Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds." -Albert Einstein
  16. What are you talking about? Sprint has one of the best signals of anybody. Can't say as much for my $600 iPhone that can't keep a signal to save its life. AT&T SUCKS! (or does Apple just suck at making phones?) "Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds." -Albert Einstein

  18. I do think it's funny when I see representations of a white Jesus, but I don't think the ethnicity of this person is clear from the picture. It could be a middle-easterner. "Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds." -Albert Einstein

  20. In all fairness, these forums are littered with spelling and grammatical errors. I think "freind" is not a bad infraction considering. Also, just use a modern browser and your misspellings will be underlined. "Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds." -Albert Einstein
  21. Being an ex-football player, that part made me laugh out loud. I thought it was great cuz I can relate. Had to email it to everybody. "Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds." -Albert Einstein

  23. The bottom line is gas prices do fluctuate. Being younger than dirt, and from CA, the lowest I remember seeing gas is $.96/gallon (but that was at Arco who requires cash, or tacks on a fee for ATM use). That was 10 or more years ago. Sure, if prices go back to where they were people will consume more, but I certainly wouldn't buy a gas guzzler knowing that prices will one day rise. I think if gas remains at these prices for another year or two before declining, people might get enough sense knocked into them to not buy those types of cars even during periods of low gas prices. And if they do, they'll be the ones hit with the huge bills when prices rise. Big cars aside, that's not true in itself. The car makers began making gas guzzlers because of all the safety regulations put in place. More airbags! More side-impact beams! More steel! Cars are substantially heavier these days than in the 70's because of safety regulations. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but it's certainly caused more demand for gas in the US. 24. True, on a worldwide level, demand is increasing. I was talking within the confines of the US given earlier posts in this thread discussing our government taking care of us. "Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds." -Albert Einstein
  25. That's an assumption and not a fact. Demand is likely to increase somewhat with lower priced oil, but people are already changing habits and I assume these habits will remain somewhat intact no matter what the price of oil.
