you should really read what i post b4 posting i have a jump plan b4 i jump. i ask every oe what they are doing b4 and when we are in the plane. i do my thing and pull then look around to see where they other guys/girls are. i work on what i need to work on after i know where the other chutes are. then i land taking left hand turns into the wind. what about that is not safe ??? well i guess i could hit a bird in free fall... man i never thought i that ill shape up asap! ps there are no birdmen at my dz live and let live

thanks man! sorry i'm not the best a writing i'm much better at talking and yea i have a plan. i work i job that i hate but it pays well so i can try and jump all winter and by next year i'm planing to have 300 jumps live and let live

nope not a troll and my dz is great i asked them about a smaller chute and they said yea get one but you won't be jumping it here if you do. my coaches are good and they care and I'm not a cowboy in the air i have a jump plan and i stick to it i have a landing plan and i stick to that i don't mind get hurt but i would never do something that would hurt some one else!!!! my dzo and coaches have done a great job so far. its not so much stuff when i'm at the dz its the stuff i do out side the dz that i think might turn out bad. when ever i ask some how to do something they say "i don't want any part of it" well if i'm going to do it any way how has that a help to me at all? i know its your right to help or not. guess i just wish more people would just help but i don't think thats going to happen as for most of you who posted thanks has been a great head check as for the people who have sent me a pm you have been a great help keep them coming ... i won't out you (I'm not trying to piss any one off or step on anyones toes. i do listen to people when they tell me to do something i just don't when they tell me to do nothing) live and let live

i thought of that i'm saving up now and right after x-mas i'm going south and i should have enough for 150 - 200 jumps and i want to get as much coaching as i can! i even saved up enough so i can do about 10 jumps every weekend from next weekend till my home dz is closed in oct. and the coaching at my home dz is great to so i talk to them as much as i can live and let live

i want to do it all i don't care what any one says i want to free fly, fly wing suit, base jump, swoop and ground launch. yea you can tell me i'm going to die but i don't care. i don't mind dying i mind not living. who are you to tell me i can't do what i want! i'm the type of person that wants everything now. i do my home work stay up late watching how to vids and reading up on everything that i can get my hands on. why do i have to wait like other people who don't put in what i put into it? this is what i think when eveyone tells me to slow down. its not like i want to go out and kill myself i just like to have fun. all these things you guys have worked so hard to build up the skill to do safe. i just think pfft how hard can it be. i find it really hard to slow down cuz i don't want to slow down. but i know i'm on the wrong path! the thing is people always try and use death to scare me but i have been on a motorcycle since i was 16. i have had more then my share of close calls and bad crashes i have had many friends pass in my 6 years of riding. it sucks but the shock factor is gone for me. so what do i do ?? i don't want to burn anything for anyone and i can say ok ill slow down. then i get bored and get thoughts in my head..... mm that seems like fun and then all i can think about is doing what i just thought of asap now i know ther was people like me b4 that have died and i know some of my typed lived. so to the people that that started out like me what did you do?? did you keep going balls to the wall? did you slow down? ( if so what made you slow down ) or did some one help you I.E. they knew you were going to do it anyway so they gave you all the help they could .... so talk to me! if you want you can flame me but it won't really do anything to help. so post up or pm me thanks ahead of time live and let live

yup you hit it on the money to me it means like some of you have said have fun in the blue sky but when your out of blue sky black death is all that you will see.... as in you die if you run out of sky live and let live

my plan is a 10 km head wind my no go is anythig but that but i'm now having a beach of a time getting a chute. the last one i tryed to ge was a scam the guy wasn't even smart lol. i sent everything to the mods so now i'm still looking any one on here have anythin for 300 live and let live

i know that i have a full set of gear from shins and knees to arms and head and all the stuff in the middle and having looked at this hill again i'm not sure ill even get off the ground ill post pic's as soon as i get my photo taking tool back thanks for your warnings i will be as safe as i can one of my friends works for ems and he is going to be there live and let live

i have talked to my dropzone and was warned that its not safe the hill i picked has nothing around it I.E. trees rocks (little or big) and the slope is so that i don't think ill get more then 5 feet off the ground if i can get off at all. the bottom is deep sand like i said b4 just want to kinda get a feel for it b4 i go to the class. live and let live

thanks for the info i was not planing on going to any big hills there is this 200 foot hill by my house with sand at the bottom and the wind mostly blows right up it soi was going to just try and do it off there. i don't think i could get more then 5 feet off the ground if i wanted to. the hill is not steep enough just something to do till i can go to jim's school for it next year. and i plan on taking more then one other person i really would like to hit up the ski hills but i will wait till i'm ready and have some one with me thats has done it for years and knows the hill live and let live

i'm getting into ground launching i have some nice hills with sand at the bottom that i'm going to start on but i don't want to GL with my sky diving gear i'm thinking of getting an old chute and container so is there anything wrong with ground launching a reserve chute?? live and let live

didn't know where to ask this.... any one ever done this b4? i think it might be something i want to get into but i don't have the skill right now so i just wanted to know i little more about it is there any good place's to read up on it and what gear do you need to ground launch any help would be nice as i have done some looking but i'm not really found alot live and let live

jump # 2 nice stand up landing right on the runway the next person to land after me hand a nice sit down landing on the run way about 20 sec after me..... it was the guy flying the plane jump # 7 landed about 5 miles out ...... nice spot D lol jump # 10 had been off radio for 6 jumps but the radio guy didn't know gave him a grey hair or two live and let live

That's what the pioneers of BASE jumping did. I'd tell you to talk to them, but many of them are dead. In the wake of their legacy is left purpose built specialized gear. i think ill take the hint live and let live

thanks for all the info guys don't think ill be doing that any time soon i was just think maybe in 1 or two years for base jumping i could use an old reserve like a raven 4 it woul be cheap and not haveto many jumps on it lol live and let live

was just thinking about this and i can't find anything on it why can you use a Reserve Canopies as a main?? what would be wrong with that.they are built the same are they not??? live and let live

i'm ready to buy my first rig and i was looking at the ones for sale here i found 3 or 4 that i want to look into but first i thought i would ask who has bought a rig off of this site and how did it turn out for any one that is selling one i'm 6 foot 2 and 185lbs looking for anything from a 170 to a 220 don't care about the brand names and 1500 or cheaper would be nice thanks for your input live and let live

The usual reason would be to get out of the sport while you still have your money, your girlfriend and your "real" job. Skydiving tends to be a little addictive. who needs money and jobs ....... i'm doing this for me so you can have your money and your job and ill just tell the gf that i'm working out of town lol live and let live

That may be the price at many places south of the border, but expect to pay a little more in Canada - the OP was asking about Alberta. In Canada, I'd expect to pay around $35 per jump ticket as a licensed skydiver with my own gear. Where in Alberta are you? I personally know the folks at Eden North and have done a bunch of jumps there during some time out west. Eden North is a great dropzone and they now have a Caravan for the summer, which IMHO makes it even better, but depending on where you are in Alberta, there may be more convenient places for you to go. im in medicine hat its in the south east live and let live
