If fast food workers start making 15 bucks an hour there's a good chance there won't be any burgers to flip because there's a whole bunch of company truck drivers that stay away from home for weeks at a time that are barely making that money. 15 bucks an hour ... No responsibility, no skill, nothing to offer but human flesh. Ill bet they want benefits too, bringing the actual hourly rate probably closer to 25 bucks an hour.

It looks like they do have mandatory minimums thus the 15 year sentence. It also looks like there's several different reasons why the judge can "shelf" the prison time in exchange for parole. I totally understand your concerns. You could always find out how long this teacher has been working in the school district which may make you feel a little better. Sure bad things have been exposed in the past even under those circumstances but those cases are few and far between. Your daughter is getting of age that you can start teaching her that people aren't always good but I wouldn't suggest making her suspicious of her teacher. The teacher should be someone she should turn to if something bad does happen and shouldn't be thought of as a bad guy in disguise. One other thing, I know budget cuts have hit your area pretty tough but none the less alot of schools use aides for the pre k and k classes. The aides alot of times are interns so its not even a huge expense for the district. Basically it's another set of adult eyes supervising what's going on. I think it's important to still have a little faith in humanity without totally letting your guard down. It's not easy the first time a dad has to leave their little girl in the care of another adult. Keep your self involved. Volunteer to go along on little field trips. Bring things to school for show and tell. We had a pet snake...my wife would bring the snake to school ( the kids loved it!), I bring my truck and trailer to the school still to this day every year ( the kids think its the coolest !). If your involved you will be able to see for yourself and the teacher also sees that your a concerned parent who is on top of the situation. I'm sure the school/teacher would appreciate you being there to help for certain activities. Wish you all the best with your little one...

I don't think the hugging is out of line. Kids at that age still hug alot...like its part of their vocabulary, it's what they do, it's what they understand. Not much different then when you see them all holding hands. My wife is an administrator in a school district. Every spring at the school that has K - 4 th grade they set it up where I bring my truck to the school and the kids go inside my sleeper and climb around on my trailer and the moms take pictures. I always see the teachers being very touchy feel-ie with the little ones, you see them with their arms around the kids, they console kids when they fall with hugs etc. I never get the feeling it's "weird" in any way. You see some kids that are even more clingy and stand very close and look for contact. My kids loved their teachers in the early years and remember them to this day and not because it was a bad experience. As for the kiss, an occasional kiss on the forehead wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing. I'd be willing to bet no harm is intended. I would let this ride and if you are concerned keep an eye on it for the time being. I'd be willing to bet your concerns will be laid to rest and your kid will have great year in kindergarten. You might even post again in the future telling us that it really ended up being no big deal at all.

My brother in law got back to me. He supervises work crews at the federal prison in Oregon. It's his understanding that if they were getting estrogen before they went to prison that they continue to give it to them while they are locked up. Your right, he's scared to death of walking into Leavenworth but just having tits isn't gonna keep him out of there. My wife's brother works at the fed facility in Sheridan Oregon. He supervises work details behind the fences. Over the years I've heard stories from him of guys he had on his crews that had tits. If there's a package between the legs it's going to a men's prison regardless of what they are working with on top...big or small. Not sure if they continue to give them the same meds they got when they were free. I texted him a few minutes ago asking him if they do... Unless its absolutely medically necessary to continue giving them those meds it would seem crazy if we had to pay for something like that.

They sure can't keep up with the problem by continuing to bottle the stuff. No telling how big a mess they would have on their hands if another earth quake came along and broke open those tanks. The only long term solution seems to be to stop the water from its source otherwise ground freezing and dams will all eventually be overcome by the continuing water flow. Freezing sounds like a real good way of finding the source without having to move a mountain.

You ever been to an open pit mine? They move mountains...in fact they don't just move the mountain, they leave a small canyon size hole when they are done. It sounds to me like your just being negative again... I'm pretty sure they could make reasonable assumptions as to where that water is coming from...maybe we could start digging there. Maybe before they dig they could freeze that area and see if it effects what comes out on the other end. They could freeze the ground as deep as they need to. How effective would it be? Well we're talking about finding a water source and stopping it, so freezing might just work. Again I don't agree with you regarding the money. Not getting this stopped in the long run will cost way more money and its still gonna have to be stopped. Your not suggesting we just sit and wait for the water source to dry up are you? If they came to you and asked you for an idea to getting this thing stopped, what would you suggest?

Freezing the ground could actually work. They have to start trying different methods to get this thing stopped. I know ground freezing has been used to move really big/heavy stuff over ground that was too soft to handle the load. Money shouldn't be the determining factor. Worst case scenario, someone's gonna have to start digging till they find where that waters coming from.

I'm in no way trying to over simplify this disaster. I'm just saying they have to figure out a way to stop it. Ill be the first to admit that this is completely out of my league but the guys that are smart enough to have created this should really sit down and figure a way to stop it. Start digging or move the mountain some other sort of way but the leak has to be stopped. Delusional I am not, I understand this will be a huge project and really not trying to over simplify.

Bignugget was talking about finding a leak. You bring up that it wont be quite so easy due to radiation...well in that case maybe we need to figure out a way to explore this situation so that radiation won't effect the human ( maybe a special suit?) or maybe send in a robot. Bottom line is, we can't just let it continue to leak! If they haven't done so already, then someone really needs to come up with a plan. You must either be a politician or working on becoming one...knock everyone else's idea and categorize it as a "stupid idea" but don't have any plans of your own.
