    You know Nutz, I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you are just a troll. You keep telling us about all these TM's who allow you to lurk, but your profile is sketchy to say the least. How about letting us know where you jump, how many jumps you have, what license you hold and what kind of gear you are jumping. I'd like to call your DZ and find out who all these TMs are. You don't have a problem with that do you?

    As we have endlessly discussed, there is no problem carrying a parachute. The problem is the Cypres. Delta's policy on allowing Sport Parachutes DOESN'T mean a Cypres is O.K.

    Have you considered this is why FARs state a main can only be packed by a Certificated Rigger, a person under the supervision of a Certificated Rigger, or the person intending to use the parachute? But hey, who cares about Federal Aviation Regulations? What do those guys who make these stupid rules know anyway?

    Scenes of Iraqis running through the streets shouting "Bush, Bush, Bush" don't bother me at all. We took a huge gamble with mostly other people's lives, and our own reputation. I think we've set back any chance for a collaborative approach to world affairs among differing countries. I realize that if you ascribe to a "US rules, all who don't agree with us drool" point of view, that's kind of pointless. I'm glad there are Iraqis who are more free now. Will we be going after other brutal, bad dictators next? And how will we justify it? The reasons shouldn't change with the perception of the outside world. If they're good reasons, then you should be able to stand on them. If they're not good enough to say consistently, then they're probably not worth killing over.

    How is it you plan on keeping your cypres batteries away from your reserve?

    Suppose the batteries in your Cypres are exposed to heat or moisture or some other anomalie. Are you sure they aren't going to leak on your reserve? Are you willing to bet your life they won't?

    Agreed. One of the reasons we enjoy relative freedom from FAA intervention is out history of sucessful self-regulation. That means being responsible enough to rise above self serving motivations and recognizing how other are affected by our actions. I like what J.C. Watts once said: "Character, is doing the right thing even when nobody is looking".

    Which means TWO thirds don't want him to win the war. Man, like that statement was supposed to sway anyone? Parachute failed to open. Oh, I thought we weren't supposed to judge them based on a few lunatics. Now we aren't supposed to judge them based on 1/3. Just wondering at what point we are allowed to judge the French. Would 51% do it or does it have to be higher than that?
