Chmn of Joint Chiefs opinion of Gen Clarke & his flip flops
Gravitymaster replied to sundevil777's topic in The Bonfire
Sheesh: Sundevil posts an abreviated version of an article and you attack it's credibility because it was on Fox News. I post the entire article which gives the full story with references to where he said this and even the reporter asking the questions and you attack it because it only has a small reference to Wesley Carp. The article wasn't ABOUT Wesley Carp. It was an interview with Shelton who made a "statement" about Wesley Carp. -

Perhaps you need another source. Note they also name the place he said this and even the reporter who asked the question. http://www.losaltosonline.com/articles/2003/09/23/news/community/news01.txt -
Gen Clarke would have been a republican...
Gravitymaster replied to sundevil777's topic in The Bonfire
I thought this was kinda interestin too. "What do you think of General Wesley Clark and would you support him as a presidential candidate," was the question put to him by moderator Dick Henning, assuming that all military men stood in support of each other. General Shelton took a drink of water and Henning said, "I noticed you took a drink on that one!" "That question makes me wish it were vodka," said Shelton. "I've known Wes for a long time. I will tell you the reason he came out of Europe early had to do with integrity and character issues, things that are very near and dear to my heart. I'm not going to say whether I'm a Republican or a Democrat. I'll just say Wes won't get my vote." http://www.losaltosonline.com/articles/2003/09/23/news/community/news01.txt Seems the initial giddyness the Libs had with Wesley Carp is starting to give way to political realities. On a side note it's interesting Shelton has over 400 jumps from 30,000' -
What about this bike? Gotta love them soft-tails.

Daytona Man Raped In Girlfriend's Car Police: Suspect Armed With Handgun Police have arrested a 19-year-old Daytona Beach man for allegedly pulling a gun on a young couple sleeping in a park and then raping the man in his girlfriend's car. Lorue Lopaz Frankline was held without bond on charges of armed carjacking, armed kidnapping, armed sexual batery and armed robbery. Police said Frankline, wearing a T-shirt over the lower half of his face, woke up a 23-year-old woman and 27-year-old man asleep in the park early Tuesday. Armed with a handgun, Frankline demanded the car keys, rifled through the woman's pockets and forced the man into the 1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass, police said. Authorities said Frankline tied the man's wrists with rope and blindfolded him, and drove off with him lying in the back seat. The woman ran from the park, flagged down a city worker nearby and asked him to call police. The victim told police that Frankline sodomized him in the back seat. He said Frankline put a gun to his head, took his identification card and told him he'd kill him and his family if he reported the crime. The victim, who was also gagged, told police he convinced Frankline to stop the assault by faking a heart attack. Investigators located the blue car when it stalled about an hour after the kidnapping. Frankline jumped out of the car and police arrested him after chasing him for a few blocks. The male victim was examined at a rape crisis center. Police declined to release the identity of the couple, who had been dating for a week. Copyright 2003 by The Associated Press. Showing your patriotism can get you into trouble nowadays...
Gravitymaster replied to CrazyIvan's topic in The Bonfire
(sarcasm on) Yep, You can burn the flag, piss on it, paint swastica's on it, wipe your butt with it. But he can't fly it. Go figure. Bet if he desecrated it and they tried to stop him, he'd get support from the ACLU. Yep worst site I could imagine is if everyone in his community started flying the flag. Can you imagine a greater eyesore than every home with an American flag in front of it? What's this world coming to? (sarcasm off) -
I would add to Lisa's info that as the pilot chute gets older with more jumps, it will have less snatch force and this could affect deployment combined with humidity. Did you ask Sunpath why they don't recommend this combination? If so, why are you so reluctant to follow their advice?

Your views on journalism aren't what pissed someone off. It was because you expressed them in the "Incidents Forum" even though several people including me, kept reminding you "Incidents" wasn't the appropriate place for such a discussion. If you are still having trouble making the distiction between a Topical Forum and one like "Talk Back", perhaps one of the moderators can simplify the rules enough for you to understand them.

Can you PM me his email address? I checked the site and the canopy isn't listed. I'd like to buy it if you aren't going to.

I worry that won't happen. I doubt the owners of these companies are just going to throw out their telecom equipment, pack up and go home. Likewise, the telecom manufacturers aren't going to just walk away from the business, either. I think the number of calls will not change, just the types of calls will change. As the demand for these services declines, so will the price - and these services will become much more affordable to charities, polls, and political campaigns. I suspect the number of charity, political, and statiscal calls will increase rapidly to match the vacuum left from the commercial ones. _Am QuoteYep, they will definitely find a way around the law. My guess is when you do things like register software in the future, you will have to agree to them "sharing the information with affiliates" which also would allow a telemarketing call.

* Wingsuit flight, 7 feet above the ground!!! (Video attached) *
Gravitymaster replied to skydiverek's topic in The Bonfire
I'm wondering if the part where he passes the skiers is really him flying the wingsuit or if it's the helicopter flying by. That would explain the sudden noise. The rest of it looks real. -
Think about what is being said about Roger on these forums and then think about what would be said about Terry in the same circumstances. Pretty much says it all. Bob

Dichotomy of my pride, ego, confidence...rant...
Gravitymaster replied to Gawain's topic in The Bonfire
Max, I've been in sales for over 30 years. I've had the ups and downs. I know what a slump feels like especially after the feeling that everything you touch turns to Gold. You know what I mean!! Things will get better as long as you don't let this phase destroy your confidence. Keep looking ahead. Looking back will only prevent you from seeing the opportunities that lie ahead of you. All things in life happen for a reason. 5 years from now you will no doubt look back and realize this was the best thing to happen at the time it did. Have you considered selling another product that is in more demand? Mortagage Broker etc..? -

How many jumps do you have and what are you loading this canopy at? -
What amazes me is not just the person who sits around and thinks one person is to blame for all the ills of the country, but the person who reads this type of character assasination and has such shallowness of intelligence to believe it to be true in it's simplistic context.

Is is possible you are rolling the cells on the left of the nose tighter than the ones on the right? When you pack, are you making sure the risers are lined up evenly? I would suggest trying get some video of the opening either from your perspective and/or someone elses if thats possible.
