    I got moles out the ass on the property.     I would bet that if gun powder somehow contacted you rig, it would come up positive on the machine. I think the right thing to do would be to wash your hands after shoothing, handling ammunition or cleaning your firearms, before you touch your rig. thats kinda what I was thinking. I can't remember a specific time when i was target shooting all day and then went in a packed my skydiving shit. but it damn sure could have happened. i have on occasion been accused of pulling low .     I've been reading the threads about carrying on your rig. does anyone know if the "swabbing" thing picks up gunpowder? both blackpowder and smokeless? or does it detect only stuff like tnt plastic explosives and the like. I own a lot of firearms and shoot frequently. wondering if I should be concerned. i have on occasion been accused of pulling low . My response.     I WANT my parachute to opening in 300-400 ft. when I'm doing a demo from 2500'. Or a hop and pop from 3000'. I'm right there with you man. I have 6 or 7 hundred jumps on my sabre 190. and i know when I pitch I'm gonna have a open canopy over my head in under 500 ft. I have tried a lot of stuff with the nose. and the best I've found is the do nothing to the nose technique. and quarter that slider and keep it up against the stops. I had a slider on a old strato cloud rip in two on deployment once. now THAT! was a hard opening. it almost knocked me out. I saw stars just like in the cartoons. of course one mans opinion is another mans bullshit. i have on occasion been accused of pulling low . My response.     [reply It probably stopped leaking. The only reason a DC-3 engine ever stops leaking is that it's out of oil. sounds like a ch-47 we were flying back to ft. campbell from louisville one time and as you looked down the length of the cabin their were so many leaks it look like it was a light rain inside the cabin. I nudged the crew chief and asked " don't that worry you"? he's naw when it stops leaking that's when it's time for another 5 gal. of hydralic fluid i have on occasion been accused of pulling low .     man i got to do another balloon one of these days. I only have one ballon jump. b4 an airshow we were doing in indy. back in the 80's no aad. i never pulled and i impacted belly to earth. exit altitude was about 9 feet I thought I was about 5 ft. but the soybeans were maybe 4 ft. tall instead of 1 ft. knocked the wind out of me pretty good. should have plfed i have on occasion been accused of pulling low .     one from a uh-1h and one from a blackhawk at campbell back in the eighty's chip light or something i guess. a queen air up in illinois lost a jug. everyone got out at 3 grand and landed off. and I was on afaik the last load of jumpers mr. douglas flew. we were at like 4 grand maybe 3800 at tullahoma me jimmy oleander and some other guy were supposed to pull off a 3 way base for a 7 way attempt. I suggested we go ahead and pull of the 3 way. jimmy was up for it. but the 3rd guy chickened out. he was like "man this is an emergency situation" blah blah. what ever you go 1st dude. I'll allway smile when I think about chris spotting that load. that grin of his when he gave the pilot the cut sign. and the look the pilot gave him. i have on occasion been accused of pulling low .     doesn't the mod include a longer pilotchute bridle? does anyone know if their is a recomended length for the bridle? I would guess it may depend on the size of your main. but I'm not sure. i have on occasion been accused of pulling low . My response.     a friend and I were fishing out of a 10 ft. john boat in a lake in north carolina one time. he kept talking about "wally " the gator that was in the lake. I thought he was pulling my leg. I'm thinking they don't have gators in NORTH carolina. they we spotted him. and he swam under the boat at one point. he was AT LEAST 12 ft. maybe 13. i have on occasion been accused of pulling low .
