No doubt, I made a CD from .MP3's, but some filthy bastard at the carwash stole a bunch of my CD's, and now I can't find the Skydiving Funk Mix on .MP3 anymore.. :( -- ~Captain Cutaway I can disassemble a rig in less than 5 seconds...

Hook, I've got a question for you, I was an airplane driver before I was a skydiver, so the law of primacy has taught me that an airplane tries to turn into the wind and has been proven through experience, so I'm just wondering how this differentiates from a canopy, is it due to lack of vertical stabilizer (rudder)? Again, I'm not trying to dispute you, because I'm still a newbie to the "Real Flying" -- ~Captain Cutaway I can disassemble a rig in less than 5 seconds...

I will probably be getting a helmet cam very soon, so keep in touch and I'll definitely have some f-ups for ya. I'm teaching myself FreeFly so that should be entertaining -- ~Captain Cutaway I can disassemble a rig in less than 5 seconds...

Question about Straight in landings/wing loadings
Spy38W replied to Viking's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Great thread Viking, I was wondering the same thing today when somebody offered my 40 jump wonder buttocks a Xaos-21/108 to jump with the advice that "If you get established on final early, you shouldn't have a problem". Well, needless to say I declined because I'm a nutless wonder, but am still left wondering, what if? I would have been loading it at 1.71 out the door, and I've been jumping 1.29 regularly. -- ~Captain Cutaway I can disassemble a rig in less than 5 seconds... -
Thanks everybody for the informartion, I don't have a Pro-Track (yet) but will be getting one when my tax refund arrives. -- ~Captain Cutaway I can disassemble a rig in less than 5 seconds...

A friend of mine just put her 200th jump on one this weekend, she likes it, doesn't have any complaints other than the definitive SQUEAK Talons make when you move in them -- ~Captain Cutaway I can disassemble a rig in less than 5 seconds...

Hrm, that is what the owner/other jump pilot tells me to climb at.. we have a 56 straight tail 182. I got so bored today that I was riding thermals all the way to altitude and shaved around 4 minutes off the climb. Also did some RW work with a tandem while I was in the airplane, now THAT was fun. -- ~Captain Cutaway I can disassemble a rig in less than 5 seconds...

0:2:0 Finally spent a full weekend at the dropzone doing what I had originally gone out to do in December, fly skydivers. Had a good time anyway. Had a horrific sinus blockage Saturday that kept me from jumping at all, but felt better Sunday and got two RW jumps in, miss freeflying. Still skittish from the cutaways and pulling high. -- ~Captain Cutaway I can disassemble a rig in less than 5 seconds...

Was just curious about what a protrack does when a person has a cutaway. Does it log both freefalls? -- ~Captain Cutaway I can disassemble a rig in less than 5 seconds...

0:2:2 1.) Launched a totally stable sit, rode it down a few thousand and then did some 90 degree turns 2.) Got about a second or two of stable head down, what a rush -- ~Captain Cutaway I think I'm an inch shorter from that opening

Right, I got that, and entered the link for the picture, but I'm keeping the picture on geocities (which sucks), so it only works some of the time, I think it might be bandwidth restricted or something -- ~Captain Cutaway I think I'm an inch shorter from that opening

I tried putting my user picture in my geocities webpage thing, it works sometimes... where do you keep yours? -- ~Captain Cutaway I think I'm an inch shorter from that opening

I think the person that packed it should pay for the repack too, but that's my personal opinion and I'm too new to skydiving to know for sure. As a friend put it to me "Imagine if a student had gotten that rig..." -- ~Captain Cutaway I think I'm an inch shorter from that opening
