    Skydive El Paso, in Santa Teresa NM. My home DZ. It's not a USPA dropzone but it is an awesome one!! Chris I thought of the odds of me succeeding, versus the odds I was doing something incredibly stupid, and I went ahead anyway.

    I had to leave my baby at the dropzone this weekend. The sides of her reserve pilot chute kept jutting out and had to get it checked by a rigger. I know that I had to do it but I am so depressed that I don't have my rig. Is this normal? Do you guys have the same feelings? I won't get her until next Saturday and I am already hurting like hell Chris I thought of the odds of me succeeding, versus the odds I was doing something incredibly stupid, and I went ahead anyway.

    Someone a while back posted some ideas for skydiving tatoos, closing pins if i remeber correctly, anyone know where i can se those drawings again? I am thinking of getting a tatoo, but i don't want something too clicheish lik barbed wire or the superman logo Chris I thought of the odds of me succeeding, versus the odds I was doing something incredibly stupid, and I went ahead anyway.

    I don't think this should keep anyone from getting this surgey, I recieved LASIK from a doctor in El Paso, Texas about 2 years ago. I went from my vision being 20/300 to 20/15. The surgery has been a godsend for me, and I don't think anyone should put it off because of one idiot doctor Chris Ramirez New Mexico State University

    Finaly after 12 weeks of wating I FINALLY got my first rig! Dolphin Container, PD-210 a Tempo 170 and a Cypres It's not really an expert rig, I just got something that keeps me jumping, which is all that counts anyways. No more paying 35 bucks a jump for rental rigs! Woo Hoo!!!! I can't afford a girlfriend and I am going into debt but at least I am jumping! Chris Ramirez New Mexico State University

    I admitted it to my boss that I was a skydiver, that happens when you have a closing pin necklace on your neck and a cut up nose from running into somones altimeter in freefall. I got the usual stuff about "always wanting to try it". I even told my boss I was unavailable to work on Saturday and Sundays until after 1700 so i can still skydive!!     I was shown my brand new rig today, all laid out with its brand new Cypres and a Tempo 170...my Dolphin container looks beautiful, but it is missing a main canopy!!! I am gonna have a great rig but it just looks so unhappy. Just seeing my first rig just laying there unfinished made me depressed. Myth??? __________________________________________________ Nope, while i havent had it done with WD-40, it has happened to me with hair spray. I was sort of amateurish when I was a kid, try throwing CO2 canisters into burning steel drums.You also know you are bored when you build model rockets, then try to launch them and hit your remote control airplane in flight, while we had some clse calls, we would just say screw it and pack the rockets with anything flammable and blow them up. We also had a lot of fun with model rocket engines and canisters filled with gas. Chris Ramirez New Mexico State University

    I was on a Field Training Exercise (I am a Army cadet) last September and rappelling scared the crap out of me, I thought if I was scared rappelling how was I ever going to go to Jump School. I really started to question myself, then finally I went to the local dropzone with a friend with the intent of just doing it once, but I had so much fun on static line I figured freefall was even better...been hooked ever since Chris Ramirez
